If you’re going to lie, you have to be good at it - Kings Lynn/Buster either isn’t good at it or he literally gives that little care nowadays that even he can’t be bothered to lie properly. All the Kings Lynn socials and website said that Artem was injured and now we find out it’s food poisoning. It really is laughable.

And some tracks can’t even get that part right

Anybody else find the new team manager’s interview on Eurosport really awkward watching? He basically said the riders were trying their hearts out so it wasn’t their fault, before backing himself into the corner and out right saying it’s not the management’s fault and they don’t ride the bikes so the riders are to blame… before then slamming Alex Brady well and truly under the bus.
-
The irony is that it was Bomber that caused this “mystery injury” too.
-
You, me and everyone else alike on that front!

Imagine, going on a Speedway forum to discuss speedway matters. How bonkers is that?! For what it’s worth, I stopped spending money on British Speedway a long time ago now!
-
Maybe I should rephrase that - we all suspect he’s not injured. He himself declared last week he was absolutely fine. Wroclaw said he was fine. He was out on a motocross bike last week apparently and then rode 5 races yesterday absolutely fine. I was also told early last week that there was no way would he be riding away at Wolves on Monday from a reliable source… so my suspicions are, maybe, just maybe…. He’s not injured. I’m sure Phil Morris and co will look into this though and check out which flight he was due to be on this morning and look for flight purchase history plus medical injury records to prove otherwise - once he’s finished cleaning the helmet line up board for the riders to use on the tele tonight and cleaning the toilets with Carl Johnson

Referring back to one of my earlier posts, that is precisely what Phil Morris or somebody at BSPL headquarters should be finding out. We know he’s not injured… so it’s either: A - he’s with holding his services so he should be banned for 28 days (or maybe that should be relooked at to be 14 days - that’s a whole other debate….) with a facility allowed or B - Kings Lynn have said don’t bother coming over for this one, we don’t need you - in which case no facility should be granted and Kings Lynn have to face the consequences.
-
Yes and rightly so - as believe it or not, he is withholding his services!

https://britishspeedway.co.uk/premiership/morris-appointed-premiership-ceo/ Former rider and manager Morris, who will continue as FIM Race Director at Grand Prix and World Cup events, takes on the newly created position with the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of Premiership business. 47-year-old Morris will be a major decision-maker at the top of the Premiership, both in terms of rulebook interpretation and race-night operations, and the specifics of his role also include an active involvement in the running of televised meetings. ———— So, implementing and interpretation of the rules and all aspects of Premiership business. Yep, I think this shambles falls under that umbrella.

If they told the truth they would get a facility for Laguta with holding his services… and probably have abit of sympathy from their own fans for being honest. Outright lying with a sentence that “Laguta is injured, so Chris Harris guests” is utter b0ll0cks.
-
He shouldn’t be given some of his scores recently, especially a big fat duck egg yesterday in Poland…
-
Isn’t he supposed to be cleaning up this sort of mess? It’s a shambles of a situation. Kings Lynn look like morons for trying to claim Artem is injured, when clearly he isn’t. British Speedway management look like morons and so weak for not putting a stop to it, at risk of upsetting Buster…. Ask to see his flights that were booked (and now cancelled) to show he was actually meant to be coming. And you filter all the way back down the channels and the ones who ultimately end up suffering and being lied to is the fans. But who cares about them anyway?
-
Emil also has a massively important match on Friday for Torun, so I’m assuming will be attending training/practice on Thursday. You can’t fault his commitment so far to Ipswich and had it been a league match I’m sure he would of been riding.
-
Laguta not being at Wolverhampton tomorrow and then getting a facility is nothing short of a joke. In this day and age you can’t pull the wool over people’s eyes and sight injury when he’s been tearing it up in Poland for all of us to see. You can’t claim travel problems as that is easily traceable - long and short, you will get found out if you are lying. I’m in a couple different speedway groups and called that Laguta wouldn’t be at Wolves on Monday the moment that he withdrew last week - and may never ride for them again either. Im not for one minute suggesting we go down the route of the Swedish league that dishes out rider replacement facilities like they are going out of fashion for no reason, but there is something that has to be done about this going forward. I’ve long thought that shared no.1 team positions could be a way forward for certain riders like Woffinden and others who don’t want to ride every single match over here but I get financially that may not work. There has to be some sort of compromise to make that work.

Did Ellis score 4 or 5? Live Updates and BSPL site disagree -
Belle Vue -V- Peterborough

He had a really nasty crash in Poland where it appeared that his bike packed up and he high sided after hitting the fence. He was withdrawn from the meeting after that crash so no surprise he isn’t riding today. -
Vuolas +3 has to be worth a punt with Miedzinski really not at the races! Lublin -14
-
You are absolutely right that his score is only 8, but bonus points show a rider’s true worth to his team. If you’ve got a rider who is scoring lots of bonus points then this implies he is running very little last places. Those are the riders you want as second strings.

Me too - I was expecting to be Wolves to be about -24 so hoping to fill my boots tonight.
-
And stupidly, come November we will all hope for some positive news and live in hope that at the AGM they have listened to the fans and come up with a product worth supporting next year…. Until March and then the cycle starts again!

Why? Because they got beat?
