  1. These posts always crack me up - next you'll be saying "if you think you can do better, how about you give it a go!"
  2. Yes - although this wasn't attained last season, as per the regs... Although this has been discussed at length already before the season.
  3. It would just mean after the 60 days, his visa has expired and he has failed to reach the requirements needed Correction: Some people don't know the rules. Plenty others do.
  4. TBF I had just assumed Bowen was a 3 pointer without actually looking - Somerset have 3.70 for the no.7 role which rules out Bowen, until the averages change at least.
  5. It's almost like people knew he only had a limited period to achieve a certain figure before the season started y' know! Damn them! What was it a promotor told us this winter, I believe it was along the lines of - "You know nothing!"
  6. He's been pretty decent at Somerset previously too, and we are in need of a new reserve - although whether he would want to return to the place of his massive crash and bad injury week after week remains to be seen.
  7. Much the same as his previous showings - you can't say he isn't trying as he quite clearly is, but sometimes that just isn't enough as points make prizes as they say.To be fair he was unlucky in heat 8 too when his brother came steaming in and Benji came down on the outside of Sissis. The right decision but still tough.
  8. Birks was awful - his 3 races he was never ever in contention. Probably one of the worst visiting riders this season. Sissis wasn't much better as proven by Benji Compton beating him in heat 2.
  9. And weren't we grateful for these two tonight - both were absolutely stunning along with Kurtz, Grajczonek and Starke... Even Lanham had his moments. Best wishes to Nick Morris and Anders Mellgren after that horrific crash.
  10. I was going to ask that and can't see any mention on the Rebels site that he is going to be missing either.
  11. It'd be hilarious if Roynon goes to Redcar, scores really well and then tells Peterborough to jog on when they come running back for him.
  12. Of course, forgot it is now only over 20 meetings. However this must backtrack to 2013 as 2014 he didn't ride over here.
  13. He has a rolling average, so why should it be changed after 4H and 4A anyway??
  14. Why hasn't his average rolled over from when he was at Somerset in 2013? After all, we were told that's the reason he got his work permit.
  15. He's been fantastic for us so far, top scoring three times away from home and good solid home performances to boot. He obviously wasn't first choices for Somerset but he's taking his oppertunity with both hands.
  16. He joined Somerset. I could ride Greg Hancock's bike, but it doesnt mean I'm going to be world champion.
  17. I always have faith, just didn't expect us, or anyone for that matter to go to Sheffield and win this season so it's a fantastic result. If Benji was a pet you would of had him put down now, and it can't be any fun for him travelling all the way to Somerset every week to be half a lap behind the rest. As I've said before, anyone would do, as they can't be any worse. Strange why he's allowed in the NL then?
  18. What a win this is and a really welcome surprise too - that's Sheffield and Peterborough we have won away at now, two of the title favourites before the season started. Superb result.
  19. Without looking into the ins and outs as to whether it's possible, I'm still holding hope he will replace Compton.
  20. Well that's made Fridays meeting a million times less inspiring. Really poor planning by Peterborough to have Lambert missing for so many meetings.
  21. Invoncenience yes, but excuse no. What's the point in the track walk if you aren't going to adapt to the conditions? I could tell when I walked in at half 6 the conditions were different from the previous week.
  22. I think you're right - Somerset currently look a good team but not excellent like we have in the previous 3 seasons. I said to Dietbowers and Paulco just after the half way stage we have almost forgotten what it's like to lose at Somerset. The Jack Holder situation over the winter obviously didn't help but Leigh Lanham who effectively replaced him has been consistently one of our best riders so far home and away and a joy to watch. The biggest problem we have at the moment is the no.7 - and a minor issue in Richie Worrall who hasn't lived upto the hype yet. The no.7 role started off well with Greenwood, then progressively got worse with Dilger and now Compton who has little or no hope anymore. Frankly anyone replacing him can't do any worse and Id be amazed if he's still in the team for next weeks matches.
