I think thats pretty much the only hope at the moment but its a slim one..
-
With all due respect, you don't know that and it comes across as your questioning Eastbourne's business model without knowing the facts and coming across a little ITK..
-
Hes got a point, you need more clubs in the top league and a watered down lower legue with minimal doubling up.. trouble is, riders wouldnt make that pay in either league
-
Wait until Tuesday then form an educated decision

Leicester vs Eastbourne. 14 Aug. 2021

Tom Brennan is a talented rider, you have to remember he had a bad break to his leg missing a season and then he had the Covid season so almost had 2 really important years lost of his development. so going off the back of virtually 2 years out he’s an outstanding talent, head and shoulders above his age group -
I first went to Arlington in 1976, seen a few laps around the place. From a fan to involved with a rider and now a sponsor of 2 of the riders and a few past, this could be heartbreaking.

Eric and Margret Dugard I think, Bobs Widow and not the machine tools company.

True, when speedway first opened up a lot of other places to go were still closed so speedway was one of the few options to go for a night out. Now with other attractions open, people can go elsewhere. No idea about rent or income streams from the food outlets or bars..

Very sad news, RIP Phil

I don't think its personal, he was the same negative hater of all things Lakeside a few years back and that was his team then!

Im a project manager in new build construction, I could do with a forecast that accurate on a daily basis..

Re the Birmingham fixture, OK I'm in Brighton 30 miles away but it has not stopped raining since I got up at 5.30 and doesn't look like it will stop for a while. I think its the best call both financially and weather wise..

Thats a very good point that not many people including promoters have considered. The start of the season there was not too many places/social events open so it was one of the stand out places to go for a night out Now the country has come out of lockdown and the social scene has opened up it would be interesting to see if a lot of clubs attendences have dropped from that point onwards, ominous signs if gates have fallen nationwide if thats the trend.

TBF, always a good side and a team running into form at the right time of the season. I would have thought most would have gone with a home win today.. -
Eastie will be operating the tractor replacement facility next week
-
Signs are that he's good around Foxall Heath, not much else
-
Might be worth getting off at Polegate train station, closer to the track and a cheaper taxi fare..
-
Yes its a shame about the double headers.. Its a good move to take Jason out of the firing line and put Ablitt in for a bit, both have talent but Ablitt looks to have more confidence at the moment
-
Nathan Ablitt replaces Jason Edwards in the Eastbourne line up
-
And Eastbourne didn't have 2 riders, the engine room of our team, so what's your point? Sour grapes and a poor loser
