Having been privy to the figures of Eastbourne's final season under Ian Jordan its not so bad. They had a base figure of 600 and a floating 200, so 800 guaranteed each week. Also well over 1000 four times in half a season, Ian Jordan made a lot of mistakes but speedway could be a sport at the Arlington raceway that could exsist if run. The main issue is they will only get income from gate money and sponsorship, food and drink money will go to the lease holder. Its doable, but in the top league on an off race night, I would be doubtful Nothing will happen 2027 anyway..

Doubling up has never been the issue, we had it from the 70's Doubling down from the top to below, we never had and thats caused the issues over time.

Manufacture, most of those fences are out of date, I think Lakeside's went to Iwade where of course it doesn't need to be tested as there are non league

Chris Louis on behalf of the BSPL did approach the Dugard's a couple of years ago about the return of the sport, but like us, was told no. Things have changed now.

I have a gut feeling, and only that, that there is a person/people working behind the scenes wanting to take Eastbourne into the premier next season. As I said, it's only a gut feeling but I'm sure something is happening, I may be of course, completely wrong.

If the fence is out of date, you can get a one year extension if approved after inspection, maybe it failed, so this could explain the late call to arms..
