Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15
Steve0 replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not too far out with my prediction. Can't believe anyone thought it would be closer - although Coventry managed to keep it close for a while. -
A lot of interest in this meeting
-
So AM was injured and Swindon re declared with the (very) temporary signing of Killer - 2 meetings as it turns out. Killer's stint is finished so you would expect to revert back but AM can't be arsed so Swindon are shafted. You couldn't make it up - I just knew that AM was going to let Swindon down and so it has turned out. 6 point PL rider will have the crowds flooding back - NOT!!!

Only for Thursday
-
Can't say I'm surprised that Judas is letting Swindon down - it's not as if he has a track record for this is it? So we have a problem at number 1 still and no solution. I can't see Darcy being the solution as Troy or Morris will need to be dropped or get their average under 7. A very unreliable Pole and just shows how desperate Swindon were to sign him!

Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15
Steve0 replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole to win this one easily. Bomber and King will still be licking their wounds from a poor performance in the SWC race off and Poole will have Magic riding so I think it will be 52-38. -
Go Speed International Statement.

Not a surprise that Coventry would come back rubbishing Go-Speed's claims. Which one do you believe? I think my money is on the Bees version because the GSI one was so weak. However, I don't agree with the last bit of pushing for it to be restaged. They rode 10 heats and a result was reached - end of. Time to move on and think themselves lucky they didn't get a harsher punishment for refusing to ride in heat 10! -
Poole V Kings Lynn - Wednesday 3rd June.

Meeting already decided and KL put two guests out rather than their own two riders - Bjerre and Lambert (assuming he is Ok) would be their choice surely to give their own riders more track time! -

Good team riding there from Bjerre! -
I can't see how anyone would be surprised - the referee and officials said race and the riders didn't so it was inevitable that they would be punished. As has been said several times - the meeting shouldn't have started because we all knew we wouldn't get 15 heats in.
-
You should ask that to the Coventry team! Also, I don't think there were many paying public from what I saw.
-
Ok - call him SpongeBob SquarePants
-
I don't hate Coventry and I think they will win the league and will deserve it because they have the best team this year!
-
You are right - it wasn't as windy but when the rain started, it certainly came down!
-
So it was alright last year when Bees were winning but not this year when they were losing
-
Because they already had the 4 league points!
-
I agree about the safety aspect but in the same conditions last year, it was alright for the meeting to continue when Bees were winning with no regard to rider safety!
-
Because the Bees didn't want to race - so why would they need an inspection?
-
Because Bees didn't want to go out and Poole had already won!
-
Can't see how Poole are to blame. The match official said race, Poole were ready to race and Bees downed tools on the principle of rider safety. I do not think we have heard the last of this. Well done to Poole who were the better side on the night in the conditions.
-
i can see that Bees are making a point but it doesn't show them in a good light - especially when it was alright for them last year at Swindon in similar conditions. Can't blame Poole this time!
-
Have to agree - Garrity wiped them out - although probably down to track conditions Interesting that Bees are wanting to abandon when they are losing! It's a vendetta!
