  1. A few corrections needed here... Magic Mason's score was 13. Oh and I had Barrie third in heat 13 not Marc which makes Evans' total 6 and Owen's 6 also. Also Shane had engine failure in his third outing: not an exclusion for a fall. Indeed no reruns and no wobblers!! Excellent night's entertainment - shame though about the result!!
  2. Well done especially to Kyle - a career first-ever away maximum I'm reliably informed!!
  3. Okay - apologies for the spurious mention of the obselete term Prowlers on Saturday then...
  4. Ah, okay in that case prepare for it be 'wrong' in the Stoke prog. on Saturday!! We were told before, that they'd be branded 'Sheffield' when riding at Owlerton and 'Scunny' when at Normanby. And then for away fixtures it would depend as to what called, on where the corresponding fixture had been/was p klanned for.. Has that set up now changed..?
  5. Though surely tonite they are PROWLERS. And indeed, working on this peculiar naming strategy, shall (for the first time on their travels this year...) be Sheffield Prowlers when they visit Loomer Rd. at the weekend...
  6. Well I did the opposite journey many times over the past two years - living near Lakeside and supporting the Buccs...: anti-clockwise for the journey from Dorset to Arena Essex is surely the ONLY sensible way!! Good news that you'll be there on Friday Bob - will be good to meet up! I know there's a stand-alone prog as I'm writing for it - it'll be eight pages fully Hawks-branded! Price tbh I don't know but can't imagine it being prohibitive!!
  7. There's already a thread opened for this match, see: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=63113
  8. In a similar boat (without, currently, a paddle...) is Tery Day... Someone could make a useful team out of all these out of work riders... Why, there's even an (unused..) track I can think of...!!
  9. 60.1 down to 58.3!!? That must surely be in itself a record lowering in one go of a T/R..?!
  10. I would say, no under current rules he certainly couldn't...
  11. I agree - Mark is a very exciting rider, a crowd-pleaser and as he showed when riding for Bournemouth (@ Poole), really rises to the occasion when at a 'big club'. Mark and Dudley would be IMHO a match made in heaven...
  12. Hmm, what makes you think I "very rarely go" to Speedway? And I spend MANY hours all unpaid, working for the sport at a number of tracks.. Your main contribution appears to be this shocking Calibri font!!!
  13. So I guess we can take it that you are going to keep up this extraordinarily childish attitude all year!!
  14. Look I'm just explaining that most (if not all...) NL tracks who were once higher division have a PL or EL T/R or may call it an 'overall' TR and a 'current' NL one... Don't shoot the messenger!!!
  15. I know - am onto this, asking the prog editor up there to check it out and report back on current NL 'record'...
  16. Well yes but as Mildenhall (like for example IoW where there's a similar situation...) is an NL track, I think the intention here is to show the relevant current TR for that division....
  17. Am certainly expecting to see you there m8!! And hopefully Master Heeps!!
  18. Okay - a tad early but am excited that for once a work meeting (in Manchester, in this case of course) coincides with a Speedway meeting I really want to go to! A question though - which Aces/Colts folk may know the answer to... Is the Colts vs. FTs likely to be a stand-alone fixture or part of a double header on the evening..? The BSPA fixtures list is rather ambivalent about it suggesting there MAY be an EL fixture too...?
  19. You seem to be on the "angry pills" tonite, James!! Yes I DID post that but this is clearly defending the price tag of this book - saying it's only seven quid more than Mr. Scott's tomes but unlike said efforts of the sainted Jeff, it (Howard's book...) is far superior as it contains, as I say, "stuff of interest and value"... How much clearer can I make it!!
  20. Think (not er actually I KNOW) you've totally missed the point...!! I am making no adverse comment on the price of any book.. Where did you possibly get the idea from that I was... If Jeff's pointless and thoroughly objectionable books were given away free with Corn Flakes I'd still say they weren't worth the considerable amount of paper they're printed on!! Jeff's books btw was my diversion off the thread (sorry...) Howard and John's book is excellent and I thoroughly endorse the positive comments made about it.
  21. Hmm, well but that's only seven quid more than the books Jeff Scott produces and this one actually contains stuff of interest and value... As opposed to pages and pages of utterly pointless non-anecdotes, huge repetition, shocking grammar and harmful personal snipes...
  22. Hmm, strangely the old fella appears to have deleted his postings on this thread...!
