  1. Hardly. From this week's Speedway Star; The rider admits he has been given little information about Rod's condition. He said : "My dad is still in hospital. He probably has another two or three weeks there. He has had a few operations, but he's recovering, so that's a good thing. I'm not too sure what happened. I haven't been told. He just had an accident at work with some machinery. They haven't been able to keep me in the loop much - I'm so far away and it's kind of hard. But, he's on the mend, so that's the main thing."
  2. RT @RaceOfChampions: Heads up! Retweet to have a chance to win 2 #ROCLondon tickets and watch the stars of 2 and 4 wheels fight it out! htt…

  3. Good to see the #Speedway Cop-out Bureau keeping on top of the @OfficialCovBees appeal...

  4. I'm chuffed that they went with my idea of a pairs meeting, even if it is still a reduced 12 rider format.
  5. http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.1155 It's back with a revamped format & Harris, Masters, Watt, Howarth + available Rockets & Raiders.
  6. Losing a chain guard or dirt deflector during a race isn't a disqualification issue, starting without them is.
  7. It might have been a good idea to have checked the date of the post you intended to reply to and you might have realised that your crass comment was totally irrelevant.
  8. From the Coventry web site; COVENTRY Storm are to be awarded a win from their abandoned National League clash with Rye House. The September 11 fixture was brought to a halt due to rain after eight races with the City Gearboxes Storm in a clear 32-19 lead over the Raiders. This is two heats short of the official cut-off upon which a result would be declared whatever the scoreline, but the SCB have ruled that score after Heat 8 will stand. Their judgement is that the situation meets the criteria of SR15.12, incorporating the ability for the SCB to award a meeting that is not completed but is mathematically secure in exceptional circumstances. Even had the Raiders secured two 5-0s in the next two races, the Storm would still have been in front on the night after Heat 10.
  9. ...and if you don't have a medical certificate for an absent rider then you don't have a facility.
  10. So you're now saying that an illegal guest facility was used. Interesting. Wrong, but interesting...
  11. The incentive is that it's a cheap format for the promoter to run a 'fixture filler' meeting.
  12. It's a bit early to be setting off for the holiday in Rome isn't it?
  13. Awful song but using the last verse would be an improvement. Lord grant that Marshal Wade May by thy mighty aid Victory bring. May he sedition hush, And like a torrent rush, Rebellious Scots to crush. God save the Queen!
  14. Same as Glasgow, at least another year in the PL.
  15. The NLRC is old school, just a straight 20 heats. Both formats have their pros & cons, I don't mind either.

  17. You heard wrong then. He'd have done better if he stopped chasing back wheels, almost causing grief to himself and others, and made some genuine attempts to pass which other riders managed. Well done to Ben Morley, a long overdue result.
  18. It's clubs that have had a disastrous effect on clubs' fixture lists.
  19. The 6th and final round of the championship takes place at Northside on Saturday after the original staging was postponed due to vandalism. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.29598
