  1. As a home track man,, Sheffield should suit him,, in fact I expect him to be pretty bloooody good at home,,, and racking up those agg points is gonna be crucial.
  2. Wouldn't be shocked if we end up with Andersen and Batch anyway,, and start way under limit.
  3. Makes no sense to have Doyle on such a high average and still be under the points limit.
  4. Nah,,, we would be better with a Miskoviak, Cierniak,, Kvech,, Salonen,, Pedersen.. Lampart
  5. Even if Ipswich get Emil,, we will still have basically 3 reserves,, and one of those new to nearly all tracks
  6. If they all stay fit,,, looks like another Sheffield v Belle Vue final to me
  7. Which is strange really,,, Screen, Loram and Bomber are and were all decent at holding an inside line if they had to.
  8. I'm with what Taps said a bit back,,, it's the inside line that's too good.
  9. That was a good race,, but at the same time shows his lack of track craft,,, he makes the pass,, then goes in way to wide leaving a huge gap and gets re passed,,, but he won in the end,,,,, but could have been so much easier
  10. Clearly my nurse has changed my medication without telling me
  11. Omg can't believe the things I've been saying recently,,, liking Doyle,, having Batch back,,, now I'm even gonna say,,, out of the 4 pointer ish riders mentioned,,, I would have a new euro rider like Salonen,,,, but if not,,, it would be Heeps,,, as home wins are crucial next year,, the bigger the better,,, but I would only take him if he spent a few hours with Donk,,, and improved his gating,,, as that's his biggest problem.
  12. If we paying out for Doyle and Emil,, might as well go the whole hog and get another decent young euro rider,, and make sure we put a good team out.
  13. Strangely Ipswich built 2 points under the limit this year,, and lost the first 2 at home I think,,, but crowds stayed really good (for speedway). Die hards really will turn up for anything.,,, I'm guessing watching Doyle helped though.
  14. Or another new foreigner on a 4,,,, there is a few decent ones of them about,,,, but maybe putting too good a team together is pushing it too far,,, so prob Hume. I still think Sheffield will be favourites,, whoever finishes our team off
  15. Does anyone even know what his average would be? I'm guessing re assessed to 8,,which in all honesty is probably a steal.
  16. People should know by now that our team is sort of fumbled together most seasons,,, and we often struggle to fill the last couple of places. TBH I don't really mind if they finish the team off with say Batch and Heeps and start 2 points under, It didn't bother the crowd this season,, and I doubt it will bother the crowd next season.
  17. As above Tungate isn't back,, and he certainly isn't cheap,,,, having said that,,,I'm not to sure what many riders get these days,,,so maybe he is cheaper than some,,, but his pay per point sounds not very cheap to me,,, but nor is the outlay of a speedway rider,,, so they have to recoup their outlay some how.
  18. A Polish report by Lezno says they are small cracks not fractures,, and after 2 month's rehabilitation,, they expect him to be ready to race at start of season
  19. Rew certainly looks like a wind it on round the outside type rider,,, so he will be fun to watch.
