Rye House V Ipswich Pl 16-8-14 @ 7-00pm

Shadders, come and say hello before the meeting starts. Always good to put a face to the words. -
They are also going to show highlights of the grand prix series. The advert for this cracks me up. They use 2 stoke motocross bikes on the over dubbed sound.

A lot of guess work about who or who not maybe riding. If no gino then I change my mind, we won't get a point. -

It's strange isn't it, you would think all promotions would be doing all they can to keep customers informed about things. And some people wonder why the sport is on its last legs. Even my local kart track and local football team keep me informed better. -

Very tough one to call, but I shall say rockets win, but Ipswich to get point. Could all be down to which reserves score the most. -
Peterborough Panthers 2014

Cos one day he or she may get one guess right, and then they can tell everyone else they are in the know. This person also lied about being at Coventry, but they were not. Looking forward to Tuesday, I think the panthers may still be a good team at home though. Risager has been at the same club for the last 3 seasons though. -

No, it's fact, Morrisey fan has been told about 2 riders signing so far, and one of those from mick. This should be interesting to see if he has been telling porkys again. What about smolinski? -

I was thinking more of a different material which would cope better with a bit of rain. -

Speedway needs to start moving with the times if it wants to carry on existing, maybe different tire tyre fo really wet tracks, maybe even a new type of material to be used on tracks, but whatever ideas someone comes up with, someone will come up with a reason not to, which is one of the reasons the sport/entertainment is on the way down. -

You are right, and that's before the days of roll off goggles and dirt deflectors. You often see old pictures of riders with goggles round their necks so they can carry on racing. I've also raced karts in the rain at 120 inches from walls, why? Cos the fans had turned up to watch some racing, so that's what we did. -

I think it's about time that track covers were invested in, surely they would have saved plenty of meetings, and would pay for themselves in the end. -

Okay that's fair enough, it was just a thought, how about 2 matches on one night? Or an afternoon and evening match for those that can -

I know teams would lose their home advantage, but couldn't some teams use other tracks to help complete their fixtures? -

Thoughts On Your Team So Far

Not unhappy with the Ipswich team, but not happy with the people that run it, never trying to improve it. It's a great team on paper. -

Cameron was back to his early season form again tonight. If it wasn't for his blinding jump start in 14 it would have been a very poor night for him. He just doesn't seem to be able to string a couple of good meetings together. -

Credit to shadders and his fellow supporters for turning up and watching this. Wasn't one of the reasons for getting rid of matt his missing of meetings? I remember some fans voicing their opinions on a rider missing meetings due to other commitments, let's hope you don't have to many more Thursday meetings. This meeting really is now going to be totally one sided. Just hoping Kennett and the Jasons can put on a good show. -

Can only see a comfortable 20 point win for Ipswich, but then again I thought that about Glasgow. Updates for me again, so hoping for plenty of from the gate 5.1 -

Jack young, Peter Craven, Lee Richardson, plenty of names could be used. -

Surely all Edinburgh would have done is finish top to the qualifying group. Having said that, I do believe a piece of silverware or prize money should be presented to the winner of the qualifying table, then maybe more teams may put an effort into winning it. Surely it can't be that hard to find a sponsor for say 20 thousand pounds. -

I used to think it was a sport, but with some of its stupid rules and some teams not doing all they can to win, now I just see it as an entertainment business. I'm only talking about league speedway,Iindividual speedway I still class as a sport.
