  1. Michael Lee, Malcolm Simmonds, Dave Jessup, John Louis, Gordon Kennett, Simon Wigg, Kenny Carter, Peter Collins, and my Uncle Ted although not in the same league as the rest I loved him then and love him now (well, ya never know who's reading d'ya )
  2. Oh well Gem, Norbold has probably kept Steve Hone @ bay with that post so your memories are still in tact
  3. Lucky Scott shares his birthday with me & Chris Louis I remember watching Scott ride when I was a kid all those years ago! Happy Birthday for the 9th, although you still have 7 days left being 49 :!: Have a good day xx
  4. Dave has been a sheep farmer for many years, even whilst riding.
  5. Sorry I am guilty of this one, omg I wish I had never mentioned them now if he has them on the brain perhaps a change of name to Tithead might be in order
  6. SH hmmmmmmm could be me or you Honey, seeing as I got a piccie on here of me on a bike (thanks to you  ) and it's still in upright position
  7. Where we were sat, right above the pit entrance, one of the ref's :?: In black/white shirt, phoned the referee from the pit phone, as we were watching the main screen to see Mr Posselwhites' reaction, he seemed to just cancel the call rather than answer it :!: Maybe he knew he had made a harsh decision, but couldn't go back on it once it had been made.
  8. Thought I recognised the name but just couldn't put a place to it. Barney will be back in a couple of weeks think maybe he raced against him back then, as he didn't retire until 1985
  9. This one will be argued over forever and a day :!: Watching the first replay I would have said that TR went off on his own, but then watching from another camera angle..AJ seemed to slightly (and it was a cigarette paper incident) connect with TR. Having said that I would not have excluded AJ for that one, modern technology has a lot to answer for, a ref's decision in days gone by was his decision and his alone no camera replays back then  Right or wrong the ref made a decision and his word his final, either way he would have got a roasting wouldn't he :?: be honest :!: Hypothetically..... if this had been a Brit and AJ who would you have backed
  10. We set off from Dover @ 8am, stopped en route @ Reading Services to meet other family members and a spot of brekkie (£7.77 for a full English ) Arrived in Cardiff park/ride around about midday, off to the pub.....same haunt as ever right by the Slug & Lettuce (sounds nice!) excellent day there with the Polish fans and a few other Brit fans that we inherited on the way, left there @ 5:45 not wanting to miss too much of the build up inside the Millennium Stadium (was shocked to see that the security peeps took a (Plastic) bottle of water off of an old lady! Unless it was Gin ) Our seats were right by the pits entrance, surrounded by TR fans not a problem as we had one lady two rows in front that had a lovely Scott Nicholls banner which marred our view for a few races  Only for the banner to change to Tony No1 when Scott was eliminated  nevertheless the group of people all around us cheered for everyone someone during the meeting so it was pleasant for all whoever you supported. Did get a little angry when a few numpties @ the back cheered when TR went into the fence, didn't think this was very sporting seeing as he layed on the track for what seemed like forever fortunately he got up and was allowed back in the re-run hmmmmm dodgy decision ref! Thought the idea of bringing the riders out on the back of the trucks was excellent the stadium seemed to explode with excitement. Have to agree with most regarding the music situation no "Who let the dogs out" "Another one bites the dust" (well not that I heard it, if it was played ) and just the one blast of "Hey Baby". The Blues Brothers Tribute Band hmmmmm not very loud where we were sat, perhaps the noise went straight up and out the roof! Thanks to Nikki Pedersen I am now £'s up on the day @ 16/1 had a good result Also backed Todd Wiltshire @ 66/1 (worth a £1 of anyones money) unfortunately going out on his last British Grand Prix, nice to see him do a lap of honour. Scott Nicholls another good bet but very unlucky on the 4th bend. Some good entertaining riding, felt sorry for Gollob as also had money on him! Only because of the Polish fans that I made friends with in the pub though as they talked me into parting with my money, gave them the address for the forum. (bit of advertising never hurts ) Arrived back in Dover @ 4:30am Sunday morning. Fantastic day out as ever in Cardiff and looking forward to next years GP
  11. If not a Brit then Either Ryan Sullivan or Todd Wiltshire (If it's his last season, what a way to say bye to Britain ) would do nicely xx

  15. To be honest as much as I love Mark, what good is 5 points now, if he's not fit then let someone else have a go, if he has to go to qualifying next year then so be it!
