  1. 8,000 in the Millennium Stadium Come on someone must have the figures for the last 7 years
  2. It was the "Dirty Riding" comment that did it for me How much you got on him
  3. I'd give you a review but Amazon although ordered and paid for months ago have so far yet failed to deliver the goods! Must admit bit miffed about this especially as they've taken the money already!
  4. Try this one it usually works Quote:-As far as history goes Norbold is my man for that (or KevH he's pretty clever to) and I tend to believe whatever he discovers and as we have been over this one in the past I accept what he said. -: end quote. I'm sorry if you found my posting towards you dis-respectful it wasn't meant to be just thought your quote was a little bit naughty When it comes to stats Kev is on the ball, sorry to bring you into this Kev As far as Norbolds books go I have a fair view as well so we do have something in common after all
  5. I'm well aware of his full name but thank you anyway and as I knew the man personally I think it only right to correct you on the spelling! And very proud we were to have him as our promoter, Johnnie and his wife became very good friends of my grandparents and when my Uncle rode for him at Canterbury he could not do enough for him and his team mates. Errrrrrr no you started it by your quote ..... I just commented because I thought you were dis-respecting one of the most loved characters within Speedway. Then again if you never had the pleasure of meeting him you wouldn't know that would you (Bearing in mind I don't know if you did or didn't meet him) As far as history goes Norbold is my man for that (or KevH he's pretty clever to) and I tend to believe whatever he discovers and as we have been over this one in the past I accept what he said.
  6. That's what I was getting at as a round figure, unless this all comes in with the hire of the stadium .... does it?
  7. I'm sure they would help, now just need to get people interested I also feel if someone approached Graham at Sittingbourne if he would help in anyway he could. Oh and I was only asking out of interest on costs, not that I wouldn't be willing to help out in anyway possible but there are better qualified out there than me for putting on meetings.
  8. So you can't answer the question from a rider/ex-riders point of view?
  9. Who has ever said JH "invented" speedway? ps.... spelling is Johnnie
  10. Oh dear there you go Steve just for you, now as per my reply I'm not clutching at straws not am I building on a conspiracy theory I'm just wondering how his performance can be so different days apart. Bearing in mind the only time I've ever been on a speedway bike I was very very young burnt my leg on the engine and have never rode in a meeting so don't understand the rider thinking? If you could give a decent answer I look forward to reading your reply.
  11. So what are we talking here as a round figure to put on such a meeting with hire of stadium roughly?
  12. I'm not clutching at straws I just can't understand how he can do so well in the SWC but so badly in the GP. Is it an adrenelin thing, difference in tracks or something totally different
  13. yeah alright! might have something to do with home track advantage don't you think
  14. Yep but difference being Gollobs Team won the SWC, Scott came last in the Final just like the Brits in the SWC
  15. Next time I ask someone a question Iris do you think they can answer rather that you guess at it You can have as much enthusiasm and knowledge as you can shake a stick at but everyone loves a meeting to watch rather than get involved with running, you have to lay out the money first to get thye return if you don't have that to start with it's going to be a no go and someone will be out of poicket if not supported well
  16. Well said Garf, a very sensible posting just because Jan Staechmann has said things that others were thinking, yes he's the manager and therefore should be a bit more diplomatic but..... in the heat of the moment he was angry and obviously disappointed. Now after watching the WTC and thinking Jeeeeeeesus them Poles are fast and then watching Gollob in the SGP a little while later, I can't help but think maybe Mr Staechmann might just might have hit on something here
  17. I think that's a but unfair Mark the fans care about the riders of the future as well even if it looks like others don't.
  18. Why not? He's done it before he can do it again surely
  19. Middlo is (atm) TEAM GB Manager, Whatshisname is Under 21's TEAM GB Manager so before they get to the Senior team chances are they will be in the Under 21's surely that would be better if the Under 21's Manager showed a bit of interest or maybe even both might carry more swing.
  20. Not got anything bad Steve just can't understand why you are so vocal about a team you clearly do not support! Nah don't do that how about you set up a training school and bring some riders through for the SWC a few years down the line!
