Nothing 100% official as far as I am aware but he is pretty much nailed on to be a Bear next season.
-
I'd be disappointed if Jonas is not back at Redcar next season.
-
Would be a real shame if true, always enjoyed watching him ride.
-
Rider I always enjoy watching at the Media Prima Arena. If he was available and fitted in then would be happy to have him. Imagine Scunthorpe would want him back though?
-
Tentative stab at next years lineup: Bjerre Kus Jonas Anderson Skidmore Tungate Plus two reserves! Great news that the lease has been renewed for 15 years.
-
A couple of hard moves but certainly not dirty and not particularly close to the fence. Dived up the inside and forced him wide but no more than that. Same as heat four in the race with him and fisher as both riders pulled of the same move and shook hands after the race... Jonas is certainly a talent, really hope we can convince him to come back

Redcar Bears Vs Plymouth Devils 20/8/15
boz replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was actually a really good speedway meeting tonight, most enjoyable of the entire season for me. Some excellent racing from both sides, and the result was probably just about fair. A couple of excellent guests for the Bears. Lawson was imperious ,the only surprise was he dropped a point! Wethers was absolutely excellent and probably won us the meeting. Kus was good though and special mention to Jonas B Andersen. Really hope we can convince him to come next season as he is a excellent talent. Couple of excellent races with Ryan Fisher and Todd Kurtz. Full credit to Plymouth who contributed brilliantly to the meeting. Risager was excellent in his first two rides when he gated, but miles behind when he didnt. Ryan Fisher and Jack Holder were very entertaining and maybe deserved more points, whilst Todd Kurtz had one of his excellent STMP meetings. Wright and Simota both very poor though. Good track, decent enough crowd and good racing meant a very enjoyable night for me at least. -

i think Wethers is scheduled to guest in place of Roynon. -
I had thought it was for Morley? Should be a decent enough signing i think and improve the team.

To be honest I have tried to not say too much otherwise might get in trouble. Sure Mr Worrall will be writing to the speedway star complaining about the redcar fans again.. -

Any optimism we may have had for the rest of the season well and truly wiped out. Two sickening crashes and what looked like bad injuries. Jan's crash was just one of those things. Lifted out of turn two, and trying to avoid the riders in front of him absolutely smashed into the fence on the back straight. Took a good while to move him, and looked a very bad impact. Bjerre was the result of a very very hard second bend from Worrall. He took Bjerre's front wheel taking him down, but unfortunately left Robbo nowhere to go apart from over Bjerre. Lasse was on the track for 30 minutes before we left, with 3 ambulances surrounding him and you could still hear him screaming in pain. Was sickening. Worrall rightly took plenty of stick the the redcar fans, and thought it best to respond with two fingers. Classy. I hear he threatened to retire in the speedway star last week and based on tonight that day can't come soon enough. -
r/r for Kerr as well I believe
-
I am sure that is correct - can only tell you what was sent out pre-meeting. Would be a massive shame as pointed out above. The annoying things is if Robson had been r/r i'm not sure the result would have been too much different.
-
The averages were declared pre-meeting with kus on 6.68 and robson on 7.27.
-
Would be a massive shame if we have messed up, but if we have the points should be removed. Would detract from a great comeback, and Kus in particular was superb again. Having a really good spell at the minute. Bjerre rode well, and Roynon dropping to reserve gives us some great options. Kurtz is a different class for Somerset - would pay my money to just watch him. Wright was looking good until the horrific crash with Robson, how they both walked away i will never know. Josh G was hit and miss along with Worrall. Great comeback and win(!?) for the Bears - and even if the result is altered afterwards (I did hear on the way out they had appealed) it gives cause for optimism for us.

Redcar V Edinbrugh (pl) 25/6/15 @ 7.30pm
boz replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Can't bring yourself to say well done on a great win? No matter what you think of the promotion, that was a great win for the Bears and an all round decent performance. Roynon rode well at reserve and confirmed he was here for the season, whilst Jonas B Anderson got quicker as the night went on and looked like he will be a good acquisition. Cook and Masters were a class apart for Edinburgh, but Wolbert aside did not have a great deal of support. Riss started well but faded, whilst Sedgmen performed as he did whilst a Redcar rider. Will still be a long season for us, but was good to see a win at last! -
I don't even mind losing as long as I feel entertained. But tonight has annoyed a lot of the crowd that had remained. And with a 2 week break till the next meeting I can see that being a very sparse crowd indeed.
-
An absolute shambles that was. Embarrassed to be a Redcar fan after that. No real rain for days and we prepare a track like that. And even after calling it off not a peep from the promotion on the mic, no apologies or anything. Have not been one for politics but seriously questioning after that whether I want to keep giving my money every week to see this. Very sad
-
If I was a Worky fan I would not write it off just yet - we are not exactly flying ourselves! In saying that, losing your number 1 is obviously a big blow - especially having to use a NL rider in his place. A lot will depend on both sets of reserves. Barrett flew round here in the earlier meeting, but Morley and Konopka especially have shown signs of improvement. A good night from either of those should see us win I think.
-
I have Greenwood down as having 6 rides and Kasper 4. Entertaining meeting I thought. Some pretty decent racing, and never thought I would see Konopka get paid 12. Most impressive for me though is Graversen. Another double figure score from the main body of the team. For Rye - Kennetts cut-off coming out might have cost them the chance of the win. Mellgren looked handy, and you have a proper rider in Jakobsen.
-
Expecting another close one - r/r defintiely hinders us and we need 1 or both the reserves to really step up. Morley has scored some encouraging points away, and hopefully be keen to do well against his parent club. MPT is not a bad chocie of guest, he has had good and bad meetings here in the past so interesting to see how he goes. Depending on what happens at Peterborough would not be disappointed to see him sign for us.

Redcar V Scunthorpe Thurs 16 April
boz replied to rolypolygoly's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good win for the Bears against a admittedly struggling Scunthorpe side. I try to ignore all the politics etc, I go to enjoy watching 4 men racing on a track. Granted, the racing is not as good as it was previously but has been much better the last year or so. Would happily pay my £16 every week to just watch Lasse Bjerre - the boy is awesome! Rode hard tonight and never knows when he is beaten, he was massively disappointed at the end to have dropped a point! Good to see Skidmore back on the pace , and Jan again had a good night at number 2. Special mention to the reserves though - only one last between them! Rafal looked much smoother and calmer tonight, whilst Ben was solid throughout. The boy can gate, which gives him a much better chance! For Scunthorpe, Josh Auty was excellent value, rode his socks off and probably deserved more. Wilko was always going to have a good night, and Pijper chipped in with some useful points. Have to say I expected more from the reserves. Lunna was exciting to watch but his gating let him down, and thought Perks might have been capable of a few more points. Still think a long season ahead for the Bears, but good to get a win on the board. -
Redcar V Scunthorpe Thurs 16 April

Could be an interesting meeting tonight, with two teams who are struggling at this moment in time. A lot will depend on the reserves I think, especially how well Perks and Lunna go. If they take to the Media Prima Arena then they could be in for a decent night. The last coupel of visits from Scunny Douglas and Jorgensen were the real standouts in my opinion so they will be a miss. Howe has had hit and miss meetings but Auty certainyl knwos the quick way round here. Lasse Bjerre has been the real standout for us this season, and expect him to hit another good score. Jan rode superbly last week, whilst a week of rest for Matej should hopefully see him fully fit and raring to go. Need Hugh to get going which I am sure he will at some point, and hopefully Morley has a bit better luck this week! Could go either way. Hoping for that first win of the season, but hoping to at least see an entertaining meeting and no injuries! -
announced some names last night for Redcar side: Rob Branford Danny Phillips Rob shuttleworth Jade Mudgway Stefan Farnaby Don't think any others were announced, although would be surprised if Ben Basford is not in the side as well.

Time to give up predicting I think! Reserves were the key really, 3 points from the Bears compared to 9 for the Diamonds. Worrying times at the moment, although there were flashes of promise. Graversen had a good meeting and rode hard, whilst Bjerre is a joy to watch. Will enjoy watching him this season if nothing else. Felt a bit for Morley tonight, seemed unlucky to be excluded when all 4 back might have been the right call although my view was not perfect. Rafal gave a few points away as well, we just seemed to be riding all the wrong lines all night. Fair play to the Diamonds though, looked solid without anyone really looking outstanding.
