Ref sticks with the bigger name. Ben Cook though is one for the future - hugely impressive at Foxhall recently for Peterborough, not that many points but the way he rode. Poole much superior from the starts and King made several schoolboy errors.

They did sort the drainage out though, which is a big help and they also pack it down hard before a meeting so any rain runs off rather than soak in - not rocket science but very sensible and all credit to them.

That's very harsh, he was their best rider given his lack of experience at Foxhall and first year in premiership. He was pressuring riders ahead, made a couple of good starts and passed as well. He was only passed by iversen in heat 9 because he was trying to overhaul Rew and made a mistake. Peterborough's weaknesses are elsewhere.

Cook was Boro's best rider. Unlucky that ht14 was re-run and was looking to pass whilst Iversen was doing his best to pass him!
