Exactly. And on the next British Speedway Podcast we will no doubt be told that as fans "we just don't understand what it takes to run a speedway club or what goes on behind the scenes or the hard work that goes into it". How about being honest with us and then we might understand.
-
If that's how you view it then fair enough. And if enough people feel the same for clubs to at least break even then they'll be ok. Until of course clubs are kicked out of the stadiums one by one. Me, I prefer to watch something that has some credibility behind the scenes to go along with the racing, has all the top riders and they get rewarded for entertaining us.

You can just see them sitting around this morning discussing what the next lie would be. "Go with Food Poisoning. We can make that work. Give the Russian with a Polish Passport a seven day ban as well, that wont affect Lynn as they have no meetings and shows the punters that we are doing something". I said last week he wouldn't be at Wolves after his crash at Lynn. You can predict British Speedway so easily. Why anyone still bothers spending their money going to watch it in the UK is beyond me. Evidently at Peterborough last night very few people did give them any money. I watched it with my wife last night on the TV, she's relatively new to the sport. Admittedly I have introduced her to Polish Speedway and the GP's first, but she said how depressing it was in the UK in comparison. She watched it last night because she likes Bewley, I prefer to watch the "Low Lights" package afterwards. Her words last night when I try and explain British Speedway were "they just make it up here as they go along". And this SCB statement just about sums that up. As I tell my staff at work, never try and pull the wool over the customers eyes, always be honest with them, they'll see right through it. British Speedway has been doing that for years now, they take us for mugs. Its on the scrapheap and needs re-building.....

Dickson saying they'll be team changes......get ready for some text messages lads giving you news....

Then you imagine wrong. Our company is in a very good place right now, still selling property, letting property, commercial, agriculture and auctions. People are still spending money, particularly high end property. We have a lot more income streams than you probably imagine with Redbook / Survey's and Probate work from Solicitors, as well as managing estates around the country. And any of the smaller agents, if they've put money aside during the Boom that we have just had, will ride it out if they manage it correctly. And for the work they do now, they'll put their fees up. Alex's company is very well known in our circles and his success with his partner Jamie is well documented. He must be the market leader I would have thought in Norfolk, or close to it. They also wont be the type of agent that "gives their service away for nothing". They'll command good fees for the work they do. So no, unlike British Speedway, we are not in a "deep mess right now". Cheers Richard.

You have every right to post it if its accurate. I want to see a more professional run sport. At the same time your source was told, they should have been hitting send to the website and social media. But this is just one thing in a whole list of events in recent years that takes the credibility out of the sport. Just look at that pairs apology in the week.

The most annoying thing about today is the communication. British Speedway clubs seem to forget about the most important people, the paying customer. At the same time that someone was phoning up middlo they should have hit send to the website and social media. It takes seconds. It should not be found out on here nearly an hour before that it's off. The whole track situation is another thing. Why they didn't get a blade a week ago needs an answer. Of course, we'll be told by certain people connected to clubs that we're keyboard warriors and we do nothing for British Speedway. We shouldn't be listened to, ignored. Well, we pay our hard earned money in various forms, subscriptions, attendance and very soon there will not be enough fans to keep clubs going. Its suffering a very slow death. Stadiums are easy pickings for developers and we've had several "Speedway Shambles" this week that do nothing for the credibility of the sport.
-
When will British Speedway ever do anything professional? The first announcement should be on an official platform not the BSF. Pathetic. Facebook says it's on, the away manager says it's off, The Echo asking who's going, silence from the home team other than telling us the teams first thing this morning. FFS. Shambles.

Will Doyle be riding......? He's hurt his fingers in the Pairs meeting at Poznan this afternoon and pulled out after a couple of rides. -
Yeah, I bet. I just couldn’t be bothered with it last night. Caught up with the Polish league instead. Racing has been terrible in the main, a few odd decent races, but I took a look at the fixtures and decided Sheffield would be better and I’m not working far away. Thing is, even if the racing is rubbish at Sheffield at least it looks good on the shape of the track. Been to all but one of the Bees meetings at Leicester as well and that’s soul destroying!
-
First meeting I’ve not bothered with at Leicester this year. Sounds like I didn’t miss much. Going up to Sheffield tonight instead.

Harris In for Bjerre. -
One of the worst meetings that I’ve ever been to. A slightly better crowd than previous weeks but I doubt that any of them will rush to go back. Only the scores kept it half interesting. Fair play to Lynn. I had them down as struggling this year but they certainly kept it close and with Lambert riding may have won. Not sure what’s up with NKI but if he can get back to his best they could spring a surprise.
-
In contrast to the first meeting of the year a really poor meeting tonight. One semi decent race. That said, Somerset were absolutley terrible this time around, just as I thought they would be last month. The World Champion didn’t look interested after his first race when he got tangled up with Allen. Too much messing about at the start by riders, scratching about having a dig, backing up and warming the tyre....and they completly ignore the start marshal as he waves at them and does his best to get them up to tapes.

43 pages of utter rubbishe That didn't say "rubbish" it said something else. Sadly the forum changed it, but some of you really should take a long hard look at yourselves. Pathetic.

Seriously? -
Slept great Dave, thanks. Early bird catches the worm and all that. I like to be at the office early to plan my day and avoid rush hour traffic.
-
Ah, the old you've never been on a bike argument. Classic. But wait, if they agree with you then they have a clue. People have different opinions. Get over it.
-
Yeah, it did liven it up. As you say, hard but fair.
-
Like I said, take the Aussie tinted specs off. Goodnight BFD.
-
I can't see what he did wrong either. Try taking your Aussie tinted specs off before you watch it next time. It's Speedway, not a knitting class. What's Laguta supposed to do, wave him by and watch him go?
