Great post,pretty much spot on imo. Only discussed similar at work the other day,not about speedway but going out in general.It did certainly seem better when going out when we were younger but in truth it is no different now just that we are a bit older and grumpier.What we use to do then seemed so much fun but to do it now i wouldn't dream of it. I have said on the forum before that speedway isn't much different at all these days,just that we have got older.You only have to take a look back at some of the old footage.Watched one the other day with D.Lanning commentating(rip).1984 world team cup,his line after one good race was who says speedway is all about the first turn.So obviously this phrase was still doing the rounds over 30 years ago.But going by a few on here it was wonderful back then.

Wouldn't Riss then become a Peterborough asset if this was to be the case.Imo this won't happen anyway,he will keep speedway at the NA i would think.

I fear the knives will be out quite early from some,just because we have so many early away matches.

Why are people even comparing Hans and Batchelor to any of our riders anyway,bar Lambert.Their averages are well above any of our bottom six anyway so in theory should be better than those.So you couldn't drop any of those on a like for like basis with any of those two anyway.You would have to drop 2 or more.But i bet Riss will close that gap on his average to theirs this season so that would make him the better aquisition.

I'm sure Trees whole life doesn't evolve around speedway,but she sure loves her speedway and to that you can't knock her at all. Why do you have to buy the SS to to find out about other clubs,matches,riders,countries etc.It is all available online on various websites.When you get the SS now most know the news that's in there anyway days before the SS is published. Edit: therefused just beat me to it.

Yes Buster is the owner,but i think you will find the naming of the team etc is down to Brundle.I still don't see this as any reason whatsoever for the mess speedway is in this country.

You honestly believe the way King's Lynn's team is being announced is one of the reasons speedway is in such a mess in this country.

Use to love our visits to Cradley mainly for the roast pork sandwiches and stuffing.Because all Lynn use to get was a good old stuffing when we went.Although we did get a win once when i went,think that was when Henka rode for us.

If that is the case then,it will have to be Toft with Kasper.

Would have been a decent spearhead,although i don't NKI would have been happy with a grippy track again.If we did have Iversen instead of Riss though then you would have to lose elsewhere in the team,say a 4 pointer for Toft or Kerr at reserve.Then you would get people moaning about how weak we are at reserve.Maybe after we get some new averages we maybe able to bring in NKI for Andersen anyway I'm assuming it's a white elephant.6.16 left to play with by my reckoning,with Riss being 6.08 it's near enough a perfect fit.

You will never please everyone.Personally it hasn't bothered me as the season doesn't start for a further 5 weeks for us.By then we will know what's on the menu well before opening night

Only time will tell,but many did say the same last year and we managed to have a good season.Don't mind being the underdogs again

I don't really like the charge for car parking but i'm not totally against it.I'm with Bagpuss and expected it a few years ago anyway.People won't like the charge,who does like paying extra.But it would bring us in line with many clubs who have been charging years,and more than £1.You go to many sporting events and they will charge you for parking and you could put an extra digit in front of that £1 too. On a side note it's cost me £16 this last couple of weeks in charges for 4 appointments at the QE hospital.Now that gets my goat charging poorly people to park.

It was a few years ago now,well only 3,my memory isn't that great.But i do know that he is a KL asset.As i said i was told by his mechanic who i know very well at KL when practicing in readiness for the British Final.Danny was just returning from injury hence him practicing on a Sunday during an amateur meeting.

Pretty sure Danny King was one.Remember watching him practising at Lynn just before he won the British Final and someone telling me he is a Lynn asset,due to when Buster took on Mildenhall.

Remember AJ,BJ,and Fishdog riding for the Bees a few years ago.I would take him in place of TJ though i think,although his best years are behind him.

There wouldn't be enough hours in the day to keep putting out press releases/news regarding speculation,rumours especially that arise from this forum.If Neil and Ged are still the promoters and nothing has changed why should the club have make a news item to say all these rumours are untrue.As i said not enough hours in the day to keep putting out news bulletins regarding rumours that 90% of the time start on here. Now if they have left then things are different and you would expect the club to make an announcement straight away.
