Kings Lynn v Poole Monday 23rd July 2018
tellboy replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Remember that defeat, didn't that come straight after our great win at Belle Vue.Hope things don't repeat themselves. edit:That defeat was our first home meeting after the Belle Vue win but it was 9 days later. Well really looking forward to this my 1st home meeting in just about 8 weeks. Not including the Leicester one obviously. Two pretty well balanced sides i think although Poole are a lot stronger at reserve.Hopefully S.Lambert will be replaced at some point,no disrespect to Simon but he's not cut out for the top League. Hopefully one big league next year so we can have a fixture every week -
Cardiff 2018 21st July

Got to agree re the parade, couldn't see where any of them come from or even hear them being introduced. Referee was definitely a disgrace and shouldn't be allowed another Gp. Racing to me is still so,so just get hooked up with the atmosphere really. Unsure on the level of attendance, but imo they shouldn't have 3 in Poland anyway.Maybe take one off them and put one at Belle Vue.As i said previously Cardiff has worn a bit thin with me now,but put one at Belle Vue where you know you will get very good racing with these top guys and i think i would attend again. -

Seem to remember Poole doing that, this season too wasn't it? -
He's German, maybe he took a dislike to Lambert when he made his mark in Germany as a youngster.Incidentally this referee was the referee last year at Cardiff i think.

First of all I wish Jason Doyle a speedy recovery. Unfortunately I can't get too excited anymore about going.I did come here on this occasion as a friend of mine got married down here on the Thursday. Referee was a total shambles. Take away the atmosphere and the racing isn't any better than normal league racing.Very overpriced now it's just a money spinner for the men in charge. Maybe a trip to a Gp in Europe beckons for me next year. -

What you mean is,if Poole are 4th then we will have 4 in the play-offs. -
Mid Season League Predictions

May have changed with Rye House dropping out from the league.Who knows -
To be honest imo Garrity is the best around who fits in with Kerr's average. He never entered my mind to start as i just assumed his average would have been to high.He will get us more points away from home than Kerr i think, but won't get as many as Kerr at home imo.Although Kerr does struggle a bit more when in the 1-5.
-
If that's the case then i hope Buster has him signed ready for when he is fit.If we could get him in at 7 i would fancy our chances for the first time ever i think.
-
When is Stefan Nielsen fit.Could he come in at no 7 for Lynn.Or would he head off back to Poole when fit?His average is currently low enough to be our no 7.
-
Looks to be turning into a Poole thread already I was looking at the table last night and was amazed just looking at each teams points difference.Cant believe the biggest -/+ difference is only +26 for Wolves and -26 for leicester. Personally unless Leicester make changes i can see them falling to the bottom and staying there. As for the other 6,i think a play-off place is achievable for any of them.

Leicester v Kings Lynn Monday July 16th
tellboy replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes indeed great performance. Can't wait now to see Garrity don the the King's Lynn colours next week. Heat 6 tonight did Simon Lambert really post a time of just .01 outside of NKI's new track record.According to the updates he did. Edit: Just seen elsewhere that it was indeed Robert Lambert that won heat 6.Thought we had signed a ringer at no7 there for a minute. -
Great evening, although bottom of the league we have the best away record so farhow crazy is that.So if we were to win our home matches we won't finish bottom like some are saying.I think we would most definitely finish in a play-off position
-
Well that signing has proved some of the doom mongers wrong

KIDS GO FREE AT SUMMER SPEEDWAY!

You would like to think their mates would go along with them while it was free at least. So hopefully all get to like it at the same time. -
KIDS GO FREE AT SUMMER SPEEDWAY!
tellboy replied to Dave1964's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Same at King's Lynn, free for u16's. Poole seems extremely expensive for kids.Didn't realise any clubs charged for kids of 5 years old. Every club should at least allow kids of 11 and under in for free. They are the future of the sport and at that age is the time to hopefully get them hooked, before they get hooked on all the other rubbish. -
Ford would never do that, would he

Did you get the rule book for your birthday. At least we have someone to replace SCB where the rules are concerned.Must admit i have been confused by them this season. So are you saying as guests for KA we could only use riders up to 2.5ish,but now we have Lambert replacing him we can then replace him with a 4 pointer
-
Quite right.Nobody has put forward any names who they would want as replacements yet(apart from Auty),but they bang on about having to get decent replacements. So for those saying we have to get decent replacements, who would you regard as a decent replacement for Kerr? Personally i hope the averages will drop over the next few meetings and we can re-declare with someone like Nicholls/Bomber and a reserve around the 2-3 point mark.Obviously the more points we have left for a reserve the better.

I'm sure they would both be happy to go anywhere to earn money.
