Thought it was a good meeting.Robin Brundle certainly came across very well.As did young Andersen.Didn't realise Proctor had such a bad injury as he did a few years ago.They all came across well i thought. Not surprised at all what Buster said about promoters getting into little groups to vote certain things through.And that he still feels they need somebody independant of speedway. People moan about it going up a £1,but unfortunately that's life everything goes up,not just speedway. The only downside tonight was Ipswich not wanting to do a home and away challenge on Good Friday.

You have got your cynical head on. I'm pretty sure the final 2 riders will be announced tonight,and most will be happy with the No1.

Surely that would have made you stronger,like every depleted team that faces Poole.You seem to think it makes them stronger with guests when facing your team

Certainly pleases me that i don't have to choose between the World cup(football)plus when is the speedway World cup?Crowds would almost certainly dip through these periods.So they must have looked at this.So good work from the promotion,nobody wants to lose money if it can be avoided.

So if the Poles didn't withdraw their digit as you say,and Poole decided to go another way of team building,would this have left Shanes with nowhere to go.

We have had poor teams in the past compared to others,it never stopped the fans coming. Personally when Poole come to Lynn i'd love,just love it if we could beat them.Just imagine the fun we could have with Shovlar then on here.

As i said on the Poole thread,they will announce as and when they a ready to do so.

They don't have to announce the signing of Sundstrom and Shanes until they are ready to do so,a bit like King's Lynn really.

It was announced last week,but i think it was sorted a little before this.

Ok the contract being owned.But unlike other sports ie football,if a club owns the contract of a player they still have to pay him whether he plays or not.But in speedway then,the club owns the contract but don't have to pay him if he doesn't ride for them thus making kind of self employed.It is a weird set up don't you think.

With the asset system,i don't get how you can own a rider so to speak without actually paying them.They are actually self employed or not surely?

Bit like years ago then Baggy.This in a time when i use to go home and away most of the time.And as you say getting any results then felt like winning the lottery to me.Maybe this year will be the same.

Quite agree,the other six are ok in my eyes.I think looking at Proctor they are probably thinking of how he rode for us on many guesting appearances back in the old PL days.Very entertaining and scored a lot of points.Although we are talking many years ago.Starting at 2nd string i would like to think he could score 5-6 points a meeting.Only time will tell.

It's not the best of the teams announced,but i am happy in the knowledge knowing we will have a very strong reserve,maybe 2 if Andersen works out ok.I'm also happy that Lambert and Rose are in the team.The only one i will worry about is Proctor.With the arrival of a very good number one we shouldn't be that awful as some think. If it's clearly done on the cheap as you think,pump some money in and sponsor a Dudek or someone to come over.
