Lets not forget what the EL clubs have had from Sky.A £50,000 bond sounds more drastic than it seems, they may pay only about 1% of that. Why would the insurance be any dearer for each race.I thought as the riders in the PL are apparently inferior the insurance would be dearer.
-
I would think stadium rents pretty similar, electric same, cost of food to buy same, most workers are volunteers afaik. All i can think in reality is the wages. You are known for thinking nothing of the PL and are so blinkered in favour of the EL.Whereas i have seen both sides and feel the PL is better value for our money(supporters).I have seen nothing in the EL to suggest otherwise. Now if we were to get back to the eighties then i would feel different. That was value for money in the top league, plus plenty of characters in the sport and lots of banter.
-
I was simply basing my opinions on the racing side of things.Where the PL is definately not a rip off compared to EL. surely all costs are the same bar the riders wages?
-
Yes but why would it be a rip off if the racing is the same if not better. The EL is overpriced don't you think?
-
Quality of racing is similar,if not better than EL league racing imo.
-
Happy with Harris and Kerr also, didn't think of Harris as guest as thought he was struggling with an injury. But he never seems to turn any bookings down.Shame some EDR's don't do the same. Can't be there tomorrow as work gets in the way,but hope Bailey makes a good fist of his 1st EL outing.
-
I heard that wasn't paid for, maybe why a few riders didn't turn up.
-
Thought there had been 2 now,not 100% sure though.

They ride tonight,Lynn are tomorrow.

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?

Any recent data? -
As far as i am aware he only has to be in a teams declaration, which i am assuming he is now in Wolves. I must admit of not seeing the rule you are quoting.I know a team wasn't allowed to get rid of a rider if declared in their side and having not ridden a match for them.
-
Totally agree, just don't think R/R will get what Lambert would do.NKI and Batch maybe but Schlein has been pretty poor since being back and that would then leave the reserves inc Starke. Is Fricke fit now? How about the current World Champion.Woofy's average fits perfect as guest for Lambert
-
I would go with Kerr and Starke as EDRs,and no doubt Nicholls may get a call.I would prefer Nicholls to R/R anyway.
-
Thought King's Lynn came before Newcastle for those 2,or is it because it's a re-arranged fixture.
-
Only for the fans that always wants to know the in's and out's of a duck's a*se.This isn't bothering me as it's up to Tai what he does, and basically we all know the BSPA to be a shambles anyway.

Leicester V Poole Elb. 20/08/16

I would be more upset with the promoter for accepting the date,if it is true it was accepted after they knew Hans was in the SEC. -
I think the main thing every club would kill for was for every speedway promotion to own their own stadiums.I wouldn't mind a little bit of a run down stadium as long as i knew the future of speedway was safer there.

Keep it up Danny .The other 2 must have gone back to work no response for an hour

Kings Lynn V Poole Ela. 11/8/16

You only really take notice of whats happening at Poole in the speedway world.Bet you have seen Jackobsen once on the telly. He flatters to deceive in my eyes, averaging around 4 in all meetings, and pretty much woeful at the NA with an average of below 2.So Lynn don't have 2 decent reserves only Poole have that in the whole of the League. Whilst i would like to see him improve his gating ability, the reasons highlighted above is why i spend my £17 a week to watch speedway. -

Members 29,077 posts Posted Today, 01:35 AM Poole have three meetings on Belle Vue. They are 5 points behind. Belle Vue have to visit Poole once. Poole are yet to visit Belle Vue this season. Poole have one visit to Monmore, one to Leicester, one to Swindon, and one to Kings Lynn. We have to target wins at Leicester next Saturday, Swindon on the following Monday, and Belle Vue on the 29th. If we win those and beat Belle Vue at home we can finish top. Not easy but possible. How a couple of days changes in Shovlars world .From Belle Vue being overwhelming favourites to now Poole can do this. And he goes on about other fans "if they have an ounce of knowledge about the sport" which he clearly does not outside of Dorset. Come the end of the season then would be fair, but i still think the Poole averages will be higher than Belle Vue. -

Did he really? Agree with you totally you can only support 1 team, and that's the first one you start to support. Because he then agreed to do the season bar a few matches when riding elsewhere. -

Well decided to go now.As my mate said i will be pis**d off whatever i do. If Huckenbech isn't allowed to ride that will be an even bigger blow to the meeting, but i'm sure one Poole fan would like that. Who in the PL with an average of less than 6 would want to ride at number 1.Would have to be on a set amount as i'm sure whoever it would be would't score enough points money to get his kevlars cleaned. -
They might not be happy as it gives Wolves an edge, but with it being well within the rules nothing can be done. If Woofy had signed for Leicester,Lynn or Coventry i bet you wouldn't have come on here moaning then, because that wouldn't have affected Poole's chances of glory. Thats all it's about for you is Poole speedway not the good of British speedway. Welcome back to British speedway Woofy
