  1. See adult admission is now £20,that will get the tongues wagging again.I will pay that as everything else has gone up.At least it hasn't doubled like some things.
  2. King's Lynn have put it out there that he will be there. It's only one person that may have worded things wrongly that makes it seem differently.Lynn shouldn't have to put things out there every time someone says something different, they could be very busy in that department if that was the case, especially if they read the forum This is taken from the Lynn news as Trees said On Riss, Allitt said: “No smoke and mirrors. Erik will be based in the UK and could have been here. The problem is the cost. Erik has got meetings tomorrow (Tuesday) and later in the week. “To get him here, to get a PCR test, book a flight, which is so expensive now... I said it’s not ideal, but he’s going to be here for the 17th. To get him in and out of the country and back again would cost £800 - and don’t forget he hasn’t earned anything in that amount of time.”
  3. It's what was said on the KL twitter that he would be there for Ipswich, although the piece in the EDP can be read both ways really so can see the doubt it puts in peoples minds.Including mine to start with.Maybe i'm reading it differently to others
  4. He is meant to be there next Monday. The way i read that is that it would have been too costly to fly him in and out for just a P&P when he has meetings in Europe this week. There was talk of Lawson instead of Riss, but as many bang on about including yourself about the lowering of standard of rider etc and yet you think the management maybe should have gone for Lawson.Wouldn't that be lowering the standard?
  5. Exactly, you can see why people don't trust Governments. They are now allowing more people to get closer together in smaller stadia than they are more spread out at larger ones.Unless it has more to do with everyone leaving at the same time which i can understand. He's there next Monday according to King's Lynn twitter i think it was.Anyway we will have Elliot Kelly on standby which we should still beat Ipswich anyway with some to spare
  6. Agree everything is going up,seems people are even happy paying double for a holiday in the UK to what they have paid before.Yet people worry about an extra £1.
  7. Just seen the new Government relaxation of fans into sports stadiums on May 17th.So as i would understand it Lynn has a capacity of 8000 i think which is a small outdoor stadium(i assume). We would be allowed 50% of capacity or 4000 whichever is the lower,so 4000 on both counts for that then. This would be plenty for speedway at Lynn anyway. What i don't understand with the Government is for big stadiums you are allowed less people on percentages. So why would you allow more people bunched in at speedway than you would at say a football match.
  8. Allen in for Kinsley, with Bridger as a 1 star rider under new star rider rules drafted up from D.Bates
  9. King's Lynn have done well not to put up admission prices too much in recent times i think.Pretty sure it was £17 for adults in 2015.So as of now that is only a £1 increase in 5 years.Whether you think the sport is more inferior now or not that has been a very low increase over 5 years.
  10. Why isn't Vissing riding. Is it the same issue?
  11. Thought it was 8000 Would be great to see that many come down, just to see the glum faces walking out as your team has took one helluva beating
  12. There will probably be limited tickets for this match according to Allitt. How limited he didn't say. Below is taken from the Government website:If everything is going according to their easing of the lockdown this should happen from May 17th. The government will also allow some larger performances and sporting events in indoor venues with a capacity of 1,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number), and in outdoor venues with a capacity of 4,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number). In the largest outdoor seated venues, where crowds can be spread out, up to 10,000 people will be able to attend (or a quarter-full, whichever is lower).
  13. Personally i think some need to be held back to be sold on the night. Many of the crowds at speedway are made up of the older generation and not all of those like to buy things online. This could put those people off going, something speedway doesn't need.
  14. Can't see advance ticketing being a problem, but also can't see buying a ticket on the day being a problem neither.Isn't it 25% of capacity allowed in,which would be just over 2000 people. When was the last time we had that at Lynn, and quite frankly Ipswich aren't that a bigger draw any more
  15. In football Liverpool have certainly lowered their standards
  16. What was his job before, been at Lynn for a few years in some capacity.I know he was involved in gaining sponsorship etc.
  17. People would be delusional, especially considering the promotion hasn't claimed they persuaded him to change his mind.
  18. Are you sure about the other 5 attracting riders, they all seem to have the same sort of riders that normally ride here. The only surprise for me is Holder, thought he may have dropped the UK.Crump no surprise really as he was over anyway. I too am upset that we haven't used up the points limit, should have Lawson for Proctor to make us more competitive. You can't see Allitt daring to do that he don't seem to like to get into situations where it may cause a confrontation.
  19. Think he may had done had Riss not changed his mind.Would still have had Lawson over Proctor in a heartbeat. I think for this year the promotion have a bit of an excuse in attracting riders to this country with the Polish rule and the ongoing pandemic. But in previous years they didn't have that as an excuse.
  20. Riss confirmed then. The side has a bit of a better look about it but still needed to use up the points limit which they fall well under.
