  1. I wanted to put it something like that but thought some might take offence. You know what todays world is like.
  2. I went to archives,2019 season and go to the final one issued at the bottom of the page. There were no league fixtures in 2020 so these have to be their starting averages for the new season.Minus any reductions of course.
  3. There you go Haza,British talent are going to be given a chance.See you in May.Government guidelines permitting at the time of course
  4. 30.29 for those 5,may get a reduction on Kerr and Cook.I would have thought Bridger would come in on an average to keep us well under the limit. Averages are still on the BSPA site just go into the archives
  5. Just waiting for your comeback now Steve
  6. You are as young as you feel.So make sure you have a 30,40 year old beside you. That is a joke, please nobody take that seriously
  7. Maybe i am being optimistic.I just feel in over 3 months a lot can change for the better.Over half the population should be vaccinated so that should really leave only the fittest. We will be out of Winter by then.Plus the Government will want the people to believe the vaccine has worked so some sort of normality will be resumed.Having said that i just don't believe half of what the Government are saying at the moment.
  8. I'm clinging to the hope the vaccine will be well rolled out by then and we can nearly get back to normal by May.Afterall they are giving the vaccine to the speedway fans first, the over 80's now the over 70's soon be the over 60's and that's just about the fan base covered. Any old/new fan is good news to have at the speedway,so hope you do make it back
  9. First of all i would suspect he would be replacing a German.Secondly i can see young British talent being given an opportunity this season. You simply cannot accommodate every young British rider though or else you get a league on par with the NL. I take it if the British youngsters are given their chance then you may make a comeback yourself
  10. So a has been could be referred to probably half of the leagues riders according to your interpretation. Think you will find most riders are reliant on sponsorship.
  11. Who's to say young British riders aren't going to be a chance also? So Bridger has been retired for 4 years and had a few problems in the past(who doesn't) but to class him as a has been is out of order.
  12. But just look at the knowledge the youngsters could gain from people like Crump and Johnston. One outstanding class act and a very decent rider from their era who will no doubt pass on their knowledge to our youngsters. That in itself could prove invaluable to our youngsters if they want to further their career.Listen and learn from people that have been there and done it.
  13. Sort yourself out, there will be plenty of spots this season due to the Polish rule.Someone posted on the forum we maybe short of riders and posted a list of the riders that may not be riding on these shores this season.
  14. That would be about 3.14 on that reckoning wouldn't it? Surely that would be worth taking the risk and just hope he has missed his speedway the last 4 years.
  15. Forgot about him, probably only very late 30's now as he came here when only 16 i think.
  16. Who could that be? A shock i would say Parker,Johnston,Sullivan,Watt. Not so much a shock Smith,North,Skidmore. All mainly due to age,but Crump has shown that to be irrelevant really.
  17. Bit of a shock, but if he signs for Lynn i for one will give him a chance to prove he has changed his ways a bit.4 years out is a long while and this may have re-kindled his love of the sport he had as a youngster.Undoubtedly he had great talent and if he came in at a low enough average say for reserve it could be a great coup for any team.He could also not be a great coup, time will tell i suppose .But i think he deserves every chance like most of us do at some point in our lives. And i am not a Bridger fan,but he could change my mind.
  18. Just wondering where all the money would come from if the top stars were here?
  19. If there is a PL this year i can't see Doyle being the Stars No1.While it makes sense that he probably wants a team spot,Lynn would need a No1 and he only lives up the road.Would Buster drop other rider(s)to accommodate his average. He has over a pt more average than Lambert. First of all though, lets just hope we do get to see some speedway this season.
  20. He has rode a hell of a lot in these last few years with Sweden,Poland,UK,Gp's,U21's,SEC's so he has rode very often at a young age.But explain to me how he can ride that often now with Poland calling the shots and only allowing one other league.
  21. I like Doyle, but if he was at the beginning of his career with no family so to speak he would have dropped the UK imo.Just what Lambert has done.Doyle don't need to prove himself anymore.Lambert is now having to prove himself against the best riders in the world, and with the current restrictions the Poles have laid down i don't blame him racing Poland and Sweden.Although Sweden isn't as strong as it use to be it makes sense at the moment.Hopefully the Poles will drop the 2 league rule at some point and we may see some of the other riders back in the UK.
  22. You are right that we would need more riders for one league.Maybe they could promote some from the National League(youngsters) to double up into the one league. They would get more rides and a bit of experience against riders that should be better than them at this stage in their careers.
