  1. Just what I was thinking and was about to ask why when I saw your post. We saw the highlights of most races after each race and had to watch track grading and listen to endless Sam Ermolenko isms. What was wrong with heat 2 anyway. Perhaps the producer only wanted to show one reserves race?
  2. I do not think that Robert Lambert was eligible due to the licence he is operating under. In previous years hasn't the criteria for SGP qualification been taken from the finishing order in the most recent British Final. If this was still the case then Kyle Newman should not have been chosen because I do not think that he made last year's final.
  3. Leicester still have Greg Walasek missing and their guest rider options are minimal. Only Swindon & Belle Vue are not riding on this date and Craig Cook is the only rider who would be considered most suitable but Edinburgh are riding at Scunthorpe also. This match is however in the afternoon so it may be possible for him to ride for Leicester if he can be persuaded.
  4. Don't know if it's been mentioned before but how many times did the start girls line up in the wrong lanes? Just something else that went wrong.
  5. I bet your promoters wish their team got the amount of support that Leicester's does.
  6. Any guesses what Leicester's line-up is going to be for this one?
  7. Mojo is there and she reports that only Nikki Pedersen ventured on to the track 30 minutes later than scheduled. Did a few solo laps and then noyhing. She further reports that the stadium is emptying and it looks like the practice is off.
  8. Does anyone know the results of Poland's recent race off's for this season's GP qualifiers?
  9. Lakeside's website lists their top 5 as AJ, MBJ, KN, EK,RL. I presume this is not the riding order as MBJ must be the second highest average.
  10. You are correct in that it is not a new rule but before the start of this season the BSPA reminded all riders and starting marshalls about it. Leicester are trying to do it right and it works better and looks more professional.
  11. You are so correct regarding the racing At Peterborough.
  12. Not at all. As soon as the first rider is in place then the others are invited to follow. So the rider on the outside is the one that could get a bit longer but because all riders get a go off each start it doesn't really matter.
  13. Pleased to see that Leicester's starting marshalls have adopted the new BSPA recommended starting procedure with the riders being asked to come to the tapes in lane order. Well done gentlemen it is much better than before. Sadly the starting marshall at Coventry does not seem to think likewise or perhaps he hasn't seen or been informed of the new requirement yet.
  14. I think so Not exactly how it happened. He ran into Jason Doyle's bike, the bike did not hit him. Somehow Stuart Robson, who was in front Of Michel Michelsen at the time, managed to avoid it.
  15. Excuse me but I do not tell lies and I had just a red & yellow scarf on, no badges and no bobble hat. I am not that much of a clipboard. I aske the man who he was and he had an SCB tie on.
  16. I was asked by the chairman of the SCB if Leicester had improved their track yet which I thought was a bit rich having just witnessed one of the most boring meetings ever with little or no challenging racing in all bar one heat and I had to wait until heat 15 for that.
  17. According to my BPL 2014 current form rider rankings he ended last season in 5th place behind Craig Cook, Simon Stead, Edward Kennett & Sam Masters.
  18. Hans Andersen not available for Coventry who have I understand have elected to go with rider replacement.
  19. Usually the team who has more riders than the other teams that improve their starting averages comes out on top. Looking at the lineups bearing in mind that Poole have yet to complete, one team has 3 such riders and one team has none with all the remaining teams having 1 or 2. I admit that this is just in my opinion and things do not ever work out as expected. I leave it to you all to do the maths.
  20. But this will mean a replacement being introduced and then a delay in bringing in a replacement etc etc which is the whole point of sorting them out after the race has been run to keep the meeting flowing. Warnings followed by fines for repeater offenders will sort them out.
  21. Very true but like I've said the race should not be delayed each time there is an infringement. Let the race be run and then take the offending riders to task after the race with warnings and or fines.
