  1. and Mark, when I find my boat I am going to call her the Wood, outta respect. Gotta admit, working class track, good racing, sorry bout the Swedish birds being introduced into this thread. I still think it was never the same after Mike Farell destroyed the dope shed though, and youu are probably too young to remember that.. Still, was a bit of a dump no matter whose it was.. 8)
  2. Tony will win it, and as far as saving private ryan, the first 30 minutes are awesome. Man, Tom is something else. 8) Having said that he is a bit cranky sometimes though, but if I had to go through what he went through, I would be cranky too. 8) 8)
  3. Nah Mark, you gotta see Tom in Saving Private Ryan, when he was shooting the tank with a 45 at the end and got smoked, unreal dude, he is a genius. As far as the GP, would love Hancock to win it but think Trick will pull it off. Crumpie second.... 8)
  4. a five or six year old on a wessie sounds reasonable to me, maybe 50 hp and havent you ever heard of a child prodigy? 8)
  5. Really I dont want to belabour the point, but recently I came across an interesting article that was in a medical journal, that basically said anyone who has suffered concussions over time was something like three times more likely to suffer depression in later years, than people who havent, and since we all know that is part and parcel of the sport, was wondering if this could have something to do with it. Anyone know what happened to Chris Pusey? I just heard he was deceased, and was wondering if anyone knew how? Just remember his gritty performances for Belle Vue as Captain. :? Ahhh,... The Polka Dot Kid, hard as nails.....
  6. Its cool, sorry,.. didnt mean to offend..I think you have a cool haircut for a balding fellow. Just cuz yer famous doesnt mean you have to be snooty.. 8)
  7. I remember her name was Ingrid, and Steve knows you cant miss with the fat lonely ones, score every time. No pickup lines, all you say is Hi, My name is... whoosh. straight to heaven..God bless ya Steve!!! 8) wandering around after saying no more, no more.. :?
  8. I understand.. I dont wanna kiss arse or anything, but remember the part at the start of Saving Private Ryan when you were looking at yer watch and it was shaking? Classic..Then, at the end when you did the scene where you got smoked? Man I still cant deal with it, you were great.. Hey gotta go, I wont bother ya or nothin ok, but can I keep in touch sometimes?
  9. All I know is I am a friend of a mechanic of someone who is dead now and I have it on good authority that she did exist and not only that but took a shower after the races and she was beautiful and olive skinned and had blue eyes and platinum hair, so there.... 8) She was a godess..... And when I get another boat, i am lookin her up!
  10. Dont wanna get all the fans riled up, so whatever, but man I would like to hang with you for awhile. Your performances in Big and Saving Private Ryan were, well... superb.. Plus, so down to earth, posting here on the forum. How is life in Malibu man? Keep in touch, Sandman 8)
  11. This is a genuine speedway thread.. Having sssssaid ttthat, I hear the reason you never see an ugly Swedish woman is cuz they, the ugly ones, are smothered at birth.. :?
  12. Anyone hear tell bout a Swedish Woman racer in the 80's, and she was really good looking, and um.. had to share the changing rooms with the men? Heard from a good source.. Heard she was a Godess.. 8) Anyone?
  13. Dont mean to get off thread, but just had to tell tomhaines how much I thought of the performances in Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan...You were Great Dude!!!! 8)
  14. I still plead insanity, ... I am still crazy about that girl...! 8) She doesnt have much use for me though after I lost Colette. I will be back! And CHK,.. you can p*** off, as much as I like ya.. :? ps. chk, sorry bout the language, its tourettes syndrome again. If I can just figure out how to start a thread about swedish wimmin that was somehow connected to speedway..??? ;-)
  15. unfortunately... no, but ah.. once in awhile, olive skin, blue eyes and platnum hair, they just love love love sailboats and the skipper. Problem is,... I havent seen mine for two weeks,....She is salvage material at the moment, am expecting a bit of a Swede drought for the next year or so, till I get another Westsail.. Jah lives.... 8)
  16. All due respect Lupus,.... Dekker rules, and off the subject a bit, Cradley was a bit of a dump.. Loved watching the team away from home though. The one shining jewel at Cradley was the dope shed but Mike Farrell paid rest to that when he flattened it going after Alan Grahame, in the pits. He shouldnt have called Mr. Farrell crazy.. 8) Is it me?....
  17. You understand this better than most I am sure Steve. Also, could be the reason so many stay too long past their prime and also make ill advised comebacks. Could it be that nothing can possibly fill the void? :?
  18. I think that is a very good question that begs for an answer. Soren certainly wasnt the only one to have that happen to, God bless him. My opinion is when a racers career is over, it leaves a huge void that some tend to fill with alcohol and other substances. I believe Speedway is such an intense sport, it is so hard for some to move on and lead a fulfilling life after the fat lady has sung. Quite a few dont save enough money, and their skills arent made for regular society. I do think Speedway has a higher percentage of failure to adapt to so called civilian life after the fact, than any other sport. Goes back to the intensity. If there was more money in the sport, it would be so much easier for a retired rider to adjust. It is hard to be depressed when you are ok financially. Quite a few other sports have retirement packages, and speedway sadly is not in a position to do so. I hope this made some sense, and I do stress some! :?
  19. Picture an earlier version of Kelly Moran, with a bit more weight, and you have Soren.. Really nice bloke as well..
  20. If Hancock is gating, him first, Crump second, and TR third. Sorry if this is soooo predictable. 8) Gotta go now, Fabian is gettin ready to ruin my day. I am having a Hurricane party at my shack as we speak. I am tired of Bermuda, too much sun... Got the Westsail kinda goin, headed back to the Bahamas tomorrow AM. Wont be in the loop for awhile, good luck Greg. Got plenty Rum on board. 8)
  21. I think here in Bermuda, the crowd would be REAL laid back. Besides, I have a Westsail 32' that needs some work after the last hurricane, maybe free help????? 8) After all we are all one big happy family, mon.
  22. Bobby Schwartz is celebrating his 30th year in racing, man I dare anyone to top that! 8)
  23. Bottom line, Ole has the best interest of the sport within his heart. He was a tough competitor obviously back when, and still, is now. For anyone to write him off now is a huge mistake. All I can say ... Is More Dirt Ole! Mistake forgiven. 8)
