Peterborough Panthers 2015
scoobydoo replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Theres long been many rumbles of to many people getting into the speedway for free one person helps there families get in free so if there looking for fans to pledge money this is one thing that needs to stop , many fans from around the country say speedway is a £10 not a £15 sport now, a pound a race that lasts a minute if your lucky then you have the result declared at ht 12 on wet nights with no offer of partial refunds promoted by sky presenters, asking people to pay more money now would not be wise -

You need Rick & Julie there more to show them that its worth keeping the Panthers going and let them see the Panthers shouldnt die and to help Trevor & Ged keep the Panthers alive and kicking -

The overall construction of an EL team would be cheapish, FTR are cheaper than the reserves of the last elite campaign also if you dont include gp stars the costs are not that much more than a premier team -

Why not return to EL now Rathbone/Swales running it day to day and RF sponsoring it with Readypower and the use of his many assets theres plenty of those to chose from Rathbone could use Ulrich & then use Phillips as FTR both Bjerres to keep RF happy included also -

Seems very ironic then they pull out when Rick is no longer involved he was doing something right then, he used his own company to sponsor Panthers, this was no doubt for a valid reason , Being successful helps but if the product thats produced is of a good standard and the racing is good people will still pay to come in, the Peterboro press in the past few years has been shocking to say the least H&S rings loud, poor track prep and more , god knows how then any team survives if you have to be successful all the time, Perhaps speedway has had its time now in Peterboro 30 odd miles each way and you have EL speedway to watch at Lynn or Leicester so the die hard speedway junkies can at least get some speedway fix -

If Matt Fraud ran Peterborough he would face the same problems as Rick does in terms of the revenue coming in hes been fortunate that the people of Poole have stuck with speedway . If the poole fans stopped attending and the rules didnt favour his team so much he would of been no better than any other promotor -

Why doesn't Rick employ someone to manage and run the club for him if he's not got the time Peter Oakes would of been ideal so someone along his type of speedway roots could be his front man with him just pulling the strings , Horton was a nightmare last time he was involved in the club and many fans had said they had no trust in him and so it's been proved that the fans should be listened to at times -

Didnt Mick Horton get a two year deal to promote in the PL , if hes looking to walk away then please let it be Rick who comes back to promote at Peterboro -

If PL Proctor is worth gamble think he's on a low average like to see Lewis Kerr fitted in, as a res James Sargent looks a good prospect -

Dilger getting stick but looking at his scores recently Barrett looks just as poor especially at the showground he seems to favour the smaller tracks but then again hes been shocking on some of them also -

Fisher is on a downward trend now no longer consistent enough to be a PL no 1 Bjerre needs to be kept been by far the most improved along with Blackbird , sorry but Roynon has been mostly poor away from home , Barrett the opposite hes been poor at home Hall its goodbye thanks for the 06 memories I would include Poole-Bjerre-Proctor-Ulrich-Blackbird or try to pinch Lewis Kerr and another reserve with what's left hopefully
