if all goes to plan I'll be at the Rockets v Wolves meeting with TNT, and one thing is for sure I wont be shouting for the Wolves
-
so no news then?

It has been claimed more than once that Sandhu has no interest in Brandon Estates Ltd (Jersey). Sandhu owns the promoting liscence for stox, so as he claims to own the flood lights he has taken them down because they are his toys and no-one else can play with them without a signed agreement, As for selling the land he has been told numerous times that planning permission would be denied, so maybe he thought it best to get out whilst he could. Having sold the stadium he wasn't bothered about a lease because he could take the Stox on the road, Stoke, Birmingham, Kings Lynn maybe, he has the dates so only needs a track to race on. There are thing behind the scenes we as fans will neve know about, It appears Cov Stox are needed as they claim to own the fixtures and fittings, as to viability of speedway only, who knows

Great news,
-
Do you really believe that is the case? I seem to recall there were more interested parties, but Sandhu obviously felt MH was the best person to ensure it failed. Had there been no takers do you honestly think the stadium would have been left empty?
-
despite all the doom and gloom, I'm waiting until the keys get handed over to the speedway promotion, then and only then will the picture become clearer.
-
I would guess at the later. Initially it was announced one year with an option, so I would think that still stands, unless MH (Coventry Speedway) decides not to take the option of further years
-
good news for speedway, a reprieve for another season at least.
-
2pm on a Saturday, back home in time to watch the GP, sorted, no need for floodlights Sandhu will probably make more money from the 8 stock car meetings than Mick Horton will make from a whole season of Speedway, put it this way 6000 @ £15 is a lot of money.

or maybe go down the toblerone route, less heats (chocolate) for the same money -
Finally, a post worth reading

simple solution, offer him £300 a point with no start or appearance money, no score equals no pay,
-
take Bjerre out and that leaves 17,35 according to SCB's calculations, must be a couple of riders that could fit and do a decent job in the middle order
-
maybe the best question so far and only post #349

Wildcards 2017.....

Does he need one? For me I'm disappointed that Emil got a slot when he couldn't be arsed with the time and expense to even try and qualify, as good a rider as he maybe it doesn't excuse the fact he shunned the series for financial reasons -
Belle Vue Vs Wolves, Grand Final 2nd Leg, 5/10/16...
full-throttle replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
congratulations to Wolves, best team over the two legs by far -
Did you actually take the time to read the press release? Sandhu promotes the Stock Cars, so he needs to be on friendly terms with the new stadium lease holder who just happens to be Mick Horton

Coventry Vs Kings Lynn 16/09/2016
full-throttle replied to SCB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Unfortunately I fall into the first category, but fortunately for the Bees there are many others who will continue to hand over their hard earned. It shouldn't be all about winning but putting on a show that makes the customer want more. If I can get clarification that the ELRC admission isn't lining this promotions pockets I may attend -

I can't believe it's took this long for you to realise just how much contempt the supporters are shown, as long as the current promotion are running speedway in Coventry then like Duncan, Theo, Peter and Deborah would say I'M OUT -
