Nicholls V Sayfutdinov
Starman2006 replied to Cornishman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Did you watch the GP or are you just Guessing what happened, because Scott never ran Emil, one Punch Sudjfutinov into the fence!. Scott wanted to go down the tunnel but Emil pushed him into the airfence pit gate, Emil also threw the first punch, get your facts right pal!. -
I have to agree, Scott did nothing wrong, he's there to win races, and rode a hard race!. Emil One punch Sudjfutinov is starting to show a bit of temperment, and i feel that if everytime things don't quite go his way he will throw his toys out of the pram, then perspective promoters will take a dim view of this!!.

Cardiff Sound System
Starman2006 replied to nelson76's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I was on the middle tier, middle of third fourth bend, no problem with the sound here. Although it was probably a little loud at times, twick it down a touch and it will be fine, imo!. -
VALUE!!, clever boy Seb, man after my own heart!!. AJ, 14's Generally!!. Although im not saying who im backing, but i may have a small saver on AJ!!.

Pedersen Breaks Finger Having Tantrum
Starman2006 replied to Rob B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Susie, why don't you offer to sit in his corner during meetings, your influence and smile should sort his problem out. He won't lift another finger in anger!!. -
Another Ridiculous Exclusion
Starman2006 replied to Brummie Boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As we all know, Nikki Pedersen is one of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet when he's not riding, but he's a different person on a speedway bike. But on this occasion, its a difficult one. The way i saw it, it was 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. I feel Nikki Did move out slightly, and Emil did move in slightly. Yes Nikki was ALMOST in front, but i do feel Nikki could have held a bit tighter line!!. But its all down to opinions!!. Must say well done Anton, rode very well all night!. I don't know where Scott goes from here. He was never at the races. I feel he should cut the GP next season and consentrate on a purely League campaign. Whether its confidence Bikes personal or all three. He needs to take a leaf out of Lee Richardsons book. He's now regained his confidence and is riding well again. Last week at Coventry, he didn't really beat anybody, and was entitled to get the points he did on the bridle. In the British final he looked a pale shadow of his former self. and tonight he just wasn't there!!. End of the season he needs to have a good sort out, clear his mind and start afresh, because he's a dam sight better rider than he's been showing of late!!. Who's Refereeing at Cardiff this year???. -
Brits In The Gp 2009
Starman2006 replied to shoy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That would probably figure, he then needs to sort himself and his equipment out. As i said he has the abillity to be a top 6 rider, but end of the day its down to him to sort things out, from top to bottom!!. -

Starman2006 replied to shoy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No disrespect To Scott or any other rider, but as somebody pointed it out, a lot of the older riders are now coming towards the end of their careers, Scott is still only 31, he has imo 5 more years at the top. Of the remainder of the field, Scott is vastly more experienced. IMO he's just got to continue what he was doing last season, in the past he's been rather a soft touch, he's become more aggressive on the bike, he needs to focus on his starts. he needs to use his head in certain situations, remembering, he has four laps, he hasn't got to do it all on lap 1, he's more than capable of winning races from the back, he is a natural motorcyclist!. His aim imo should be to make the final in every GP, if he doesn't then just amas as many points as he can, then move on!. I don't agree with him leaving the EL out, but on the flip side i can see his point!. As for Kelvin Tatum being in his corner, if thats what Scott wants fine. But i feel personally he'd be far better off having Neil Middleditch in his corner!. Scotts got the abillity, Neil is a very good motivator!!. -

2009 Sgp- Who Will Win?
Starman2006 replied to Wildcat's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Now that would be a real fitting climax to the GP series!. Although i still feel that if any man deserves to win a world championship its Leigh Adams. And i still feel that Scott Nicholls CAN finish in the top 6!!. Some of his performances and form last season was very good, he's just got to believe in himself, continue to show controlled agression in his races, and remember, there's four laps to a race, he hasn't got to do it all in the first lap, he's more than capable of winning races from the back!!. Although in the back of my mind, there.s a man called Pedersen, who will still take a hell of a lot of Shifting!!. -
Why doesn't everybody just give Jim a chance. He's been thrown in the deepend, but now im sure he will have a good look at things and take stock!. The way forward is to give the kids a chance, but you still need that bit of experience thrown in. I also agree on another thread what Bob Dugard allegedly said,we should run the World Cup every two years, and just run a couple of test meetings to give and bring the kids on!. I said quite a while ago the future of British speedway looked quite rosie, with some of the kids on the upgrade. But these kids now need to prove they can step up to the mark and prove they have what it takes!. Neil did his best with the riders that he had at his Disposal and was unlucky not to win a World Cup, Now its time to give Jim the backing and let him start looking to the future!. We also need to have money put back in to Briitsh speedway, wheres we have regular training and practice facillitys, the Poles and Sweds and Danes can do it, why can't we!!. The Academy League works well, but it mustn't stop there!.

What Do You Expect On Thursday
Starman2006 replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Ah but stand corrected, in your earlier post you praised Tai for his efforts tonight. Yes your spot on, as i said, you couldn't ask for more from him!!. Must be a first for you this season, to praise somebody, must write that in my Diary!!. Laguta did look quite impressive towards the end of the Meeting though, do you agree with that!!. -

Starman2006 replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You never seem to post anything positive about Speedway, Subedei, i really do wonder if you are a speedway fan at all!. If its not Neil its Jim Lynch, If its not Jim its Scott Nicholls, if its not Scott its Team GB, If its not Team GB its uncle Tom Cobbly!. Jim had no choice but to play the Joker, albeit that Scott was coming off Gate one, which tonight round Vojans was about as good as it is round Poole!!. Personally, i thought it was a far better team performance than it was on Monday, and you can certainly not ask anymore from Tai!!. Now its time to give the Kids ago, ie Tai Eddie Danny King, but we need to keep that bit of experience in the team as a steadying influence!!. But i bet you don't agree with that either!. -
Congratulations Middlo Bashers

Think i'll go and lay down in a dark room, i give up!. Hello, what do we have to say to convince you that this country is short of TOP class riders!!,. If you can't see that then you really ought to take a trip down to specsavers!!. -
Congratulations Middlo Bashers
Starman2006 replied to pirate paul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It wouldn't matter if you brought in uncle Tom Cobbly. We are still short of top class riders. You can't wave a magic wand and just produce them, as i said Neil and Jim can/could only work with the riders at their disposal. Thats why i wouldn't dream of slating Jim Lynch, he knows what he's up against!. Yes, you might argue that Neil during his reine had a few more riders at his disposal, but then so did Sweden Denmark Poland and transilvainia!. -
Congratulations Middlo Bashers
Starman2006 replied to pirate paul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No excusses, just valid points. We are now having to go through a process of rebuild, and its not going to take 5 minutes. Again, if you look beyond the top 3 riders we are struggling for riders who are proven on the big stage!. The likes of Eddie Tai and Danny King have the potential, but even they have a way to go before they become fully fledged Team GB internationals. But you still also need that bit of experience to give the kids that guiding hand!. -
Congratulations Middlo Bashers
Starman2006 replied to pirate paul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nothing to do with Neil then, it was down to pure bad luck, several factors cost us the World Cup at Poole. If you watch the meeting again you will see!. The Red light Nikki Pedersen the list goes on!. And to cap it all we had Gate one in heat 25, oh, and there was Someone called Hans Andersen!!. -
Congratulations Middlo Bashers
Starman2006 replied to pirate paul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So where are you all now, all the Neil Middlditch Bashers, who said Neil can't do this, Neil can't do that Neil can't pick his nose!. Im not going to slate Jim Lynch, it PROVES what a very hard job he has, with once again for the grillion time with the limited amount of TOP class riders we have at our disposal. Every year, people on this forum pulled Neil to pieces at every opportunity!. Yes ok, we've lost Mark Havvy Floppy Joe screen, etc but half of them had gone during Neils reine, we have lads like Eddie Kennett Tai woffenden Danny King, etc but after that who else have we got?. Again we are very short on TOP class riders. They said the track was slick tonight, phoey, its the same for ALL the teams!. To my mind there wasno interest no comitment no team spirt no atmosphere either in the pits nor on the Terraces!. just goes to show what a good job Neil did during his time as Team GB manager!!. Its about time it came back to Poole, at least there will be a bit of Atmosphere there, might just do the riders good as well!!. -
The Cardiff Grand Prix Discussion Thread
Starman2006 replied to PhilK's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Blimey your keen!!. There are loads, but you will need to get in now, otherwise if you leave it you will pay through the nose!. Im sure a few people on here could help you, but on the other hand they may want first serving of the pie!!. Try looking on a street map of Cardiff, then look in the Directory and go from there!!. -
If Lewis Bridger is there i'll do a Lanzilla round the poole track!. And i won't be doing that!!.
-
Your lucky Lea, i had to sit down and enjure two bloody hours of it!. Yawn, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

As i said on another thread. Poor Scott Nicholls, he really does get some bad luck. Im not a great fan of his, but after tonight in Prague even im starting to feel a bit sorry for him!!.
