Flint (the ref) made a rod for his own back from heat 1 of the KL match. Failed to enforce start line discipline on all 3 teams and as a consequence as the night wore on riders realised this and chanced their arm more and more.

Issuing a press release to explain their side of the story is not 'getting into a public spat'. Knowing speedway fans as we do you can guarantee that 'Tai said it so it must be true' is the prevalent attitude out there. The fact that the BSPA has a track record for cock ups as long as your arm will only confirm that in the sheeple's minds. Far be it from me to defend Woffinden but I fail to see how paying all your own expenses to ride in the SWC final puts him at fault.

The BSPA don't do themselves any favours do they? You try to be balanced and not jump to conclusions as there's nearly always 2 sides to every story even though we reckon we know the issues. Not a dickie bird on their website. Woffinden's equally at fault for not detailing the reasons for his decision. Result ----> confusion and wild speculation.

Hope you're right Ouchy, Sky planner still has BV starting an hour after Wolves v Swindon kick off.

Wonderful opportunity for Sky on monday 29th. Double header at Monmore v Swindon & KL. 18.30 start time, 30 heats for the cost of setting up for 15. Currently listed as Aces v Poole, can totally understand that. So cover all three meetings, the Swindon match shouldn't be far off done by the time the Aces match gets going. Doing two tracks ain't a problem in the play offs. #Megamonday

The Wolves thing could well be correct, or maybe not. Based on the facts available so far, it appears the BSPA do not share his views (and their money) on the way forward for Team GB. This all started, I believe, with their refusal to give him a wildcard when he missed a round of the British championships at Sheffield for reasons I can't recall. Speculating that a block may have been put on his Wolves move I can't wait to read the BSPA press release if that's the case. 'Woffinden's move to Wolves has been blocked as to have a dual British World Champion in British speedway is not in the interests of British Speedway'

The BLRC (yep) is a BSPA event. Woffinden has rather a large beef with that august organisation around it's (non) support for Team GB. There's a clue.

Yep, credit where it's due to both of them Bringing in Woffinden gives the club a major boost but it's Howarth and, to a lesser extent. Clegg/Morris who hold the key. C'mon gents, pedal up!!

Don't know about anyone else but I couldn't give a flying who said what to whom and when. I'm just rather looking forward to the rest of the season
