It's getting to the stage that if, as looks highly likely, there's nowt to be done about Howarth then I'd rather finish up with Clegg & Ash at reserve. Won't win bugger all but won't win bugger all with Howarth either.
-
Steve, you obviously don't do irony
-
I would be astonished

What was all that about? Don't get me wrong, BV are a sound team but bloody nora. # If there's such a thing out there we need a scoring reserve. Howarth, for all the pre-season hype clearly isn't up to the job, the odd win here and there doesn't cut it. His form is piling the pressure on Clegg who just doesn't need it. # Surely Kylmakorpi isn't fit or is still feeing the effects of the virus. If it's neither of those then he should be replaced before the play offs. Loyalty doesn't win trophies. Congrats BV, good win.

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
Wolfsbane replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Wolves can get to the final they are quite capable of beating Poole or BV over 2 legs. Getting to and winning the semi final, that's another matter entirely. -

I guess Woffinden knows how Hancock feels now. Well done for not rising to the bait -
Sounds like Rugby Council trying to be all things to all men. Want the housing but don't want to upset the voters. Still, it's good news in the short term, someone just needs to get the ar$es in gear and secure the long term future, they won't keep delaying ad infinitum one suspects.

King's Lynn V Swindon 20th July 7.30pm
Wolfsbane replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When I was in work if my boss had spoken to me I would have returned it in kind, and often did. Nowadays it's a no no whether we like it or not. The fact that it's sport, is irrelevant. -

Wolfsbane replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The 'after all Rory's been through' comments are irrelevant. No rider, or any other employee for that matter, should be spoken to in that way, especially by the Chairman of the BSPA. Buster may well have had a point, I don't know, I wasn't there, but what I do know is that if the comments attributed to him are correct then in any other walk of life he would be up to his neck in the smelly stuff. -
18th July 2016 - Wolves V Swindon
Wolfsbane replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Having calmed down after last night's meet I've been having a look at league table & remaining fixtures. Now I might be a tad slow these days but didn't realise we've already done 12/14 away fixtures with just KL & Dorsetshire left. It's looking reasonably handy with BV having 5 away left. -

After Adams told us last year that Josh Bates was the next big thing and gifted Starke to Poole I was sceptical about his judgement of Clegg. He did well at Lakeside last friday and brilliantly last night. If those two meetings are a sign of the next step forward by him I'll have to eat humble pie but that's a judgement for the end of the season -

If Doyle can't win a race I suspect Wolves were rather handy. That being said he shouldn't be getting beat by Howarth. -

If Lindgren isn't fit he shouldn't be riding. This match could be pivotal in the final analysis, the object being to finish top and choose our semi final opponents. Giving one of our closest rivals a sniff before a wheel has turned, and when we're at home, by tracking a rider who may not be able to produce his best isn't clever. Let's hope he is 100% I guess. Edinburgh postponed around 3.00pm. Is it possible on a friday or any day I guess? Lawson & Masters playing chicken on the M6/M1 Get on the toll boys. No tweets from Sam, too busy shouting at the traffic? -

Wolfsbane replied to GregoryM's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When it's that close you can't help think 'what if'. However on this occasion taking the point and moving on is the right way to go. # Our reserves are going to cost us big time sooner or later. # Zagar should be mullering everyone around the NSS, let's be honest. Big wide open space right up his street. -

3 points but not convincing. What is Adams fixation with Max Clegg? -
C'mon Steve, you know and I know that, especially under this format, no matter how many your 1-5 are scoring you might make the play offs but won't win any shiny stuff with reserves scoring next to nowt. To criticise someone who is not pulling his weight, even when he's back at reserve, is fair comment.
