  1. It's GP racing , some of the moves are far more desperate than what you see in normal league racing
  2. Time to bin these temporary tracks , it becomes a lottery
  3. Depends on which twin is calling himself Steve that night
  4. But when you are limited between heats 5 and 12 , surely you are best to use it at the earliest opportunity . Especially as when the opportunity first arose it was against probably the weakest Edinburgh pairing of Sam Masters and Aaron Fox
  5. The forum is still okay . Ok it isn't the wee glee club that it was at the start , and there was a definite dumbing down when Edinburgh fans started posting , but overall it's an enjoyable and interesting place to be .
  6. I'm sure he'll appreciate not having to partner Derek Sneddon for a change . But his addition makes it a more interesting meeting . And i don't think any of your mob really need the extra practice .
  7. And a 15 point maximum for his own team the following week , the lucky dip of guests means you never know what you're going to get
  8. Going for our third home win in a row tomorrow , and with " you know who " smugging into town next week , that will be as good a run as it will get probably . Plymouth are down there , along with Rye House and Sheffield , with us in our own wee diddy team league , so tomorrow is a huge meeting . The Devils are led by a man who commanded huge sympathy among the Tigers faithful last season , restoring his credibility after his season with pink hair when at Stoke . So welcome Ben Barker Ex Smug Kalle Katastrophe is also in their ranks , along with a load of riders i've never heard off. Wee have Todd Kurtz in for Dimitri and still using r/r for Christian . Bumper crowd expected for this one , but there will be a cash turnstile for ticketless fans . Assuming there's nothing more important on elsewhere , tomorrow's teams should be - Glasgow 1 Kevin Wolbert 2 r/r for Christian Henry 3 Anders Thomsen 4 Theo Pijper 5 Rusty Harrison 6 Kasper Lykke 7 Todd Kurtz (g) 8 Ryan McDonald Plymouth 1 Ben Barker 2 r/r for Adam Roynon 3 Kalle Katajisto 4 Kyle Newman 5 The Golden Child (g) 6 Roland Benko 7 Zdenek Simota Confident of a 10-14 point Tigers win to secure all three points .
  9. you'd have got a 7-2 in heat 7 though . Anyway it produced much head scratching and puzzled looks on the terraces .
  10. Pretty entertaining meeting . If Ryan Fisher had stayed on his bike for four laps and the Panthers management had engaged their brain , they might have actually nicked something out of this meeting . Edinburgh , for all their success this season , were there for the taking tonight . Fisher falling in heat 1 handed Edinburgh an opening 5-1 as Cook inexplicably slowed coming out of the second bend and dropped to the back in the first running , but normal service resumed in the rerun . Then 10 points down after heat 6 , they strangely neglected to give Ostergaard the black and white helmet in heat 7 and a big heat advantage was lost . In saying that , despite Fisher's misfortune and tactical ineptitude , the Panthers hung in there thanks to the brilliant Lewis Blackbird , backed up by the equally brilliant Bjerre and Ostergaard . Though the tactical ride comedy act continued when they sent Bjerre out with a black and white helmet to start heat 9 , despite only being 8 points down .............doh somebody noticed . But the three main men for Peterborough and the hard working Joe Jacobs kept the Panthers in with the sniff of a point right up to heat 15 . And in that race a 4-2 heat advantage was a possibility until Cook got passed Bjerre and Fricke did the same to Ostergaard . Cook was top man as usual despite not looking his usual sublime self . Richie Worrall was obviously busy tonight and Steve was sent in his place to dent the scoring power from reserve a bit . Fricke had a fall , but was good after . Masters had his problems with the referee and Sedgmen was efficiently effective . Fox had two good rides and two not so good rides and Sneddon was poor . Probably Peterborough's three man team have pushed the Monarchs harder than anybody , in their own midden , so far this season . If only Ryan Fisher had ridden as i hoped he would have . And they ran out of chips by heat 6
  11. I think we've all suspected for a while Mr Barrie uses this forum despite his alleged dislike of it . He's just a forum fanny like the rest of us
  12. Think if i owned a speedway club , i would ban my riders from using social media sites
  13. I was talking more about the posts last night immediately after Son of God's revelations
  14. Dont be silly . After the twitter post , everybody else was just having a giggle .
  15. Going by the updates , it wasn't until Kus needed medical assistance that the situation with the paramedic became known . So it would then be reasonable to assume that nobody knew he was under the influence , if he indeed was . Sorry i've put this under the wrong quote , and we no longer seem to have a delete button
  16. Bless , no excuse for him though , we got there at five to two
  17. Nope , no idea Lioness . Normally we dont bother with the parade when the weather is iffy , and that wasn't the case today . Not complaining though .
  18. No long drawn out parade today , which was good . Kevin Wolbert was on track and heading round to the tapes at 2-59 . Very refreshing .
  19. Entertaining enough meeting , but overly long . Two and a half hours is a bit of a marathon on the back straight . Still it was a good win against a side who i thought would cause us a lot of problems . As it was , only Worrall gave any resistance to talk about . Our three heat leaders might be awful away from home , but they are looking solid round Ashfield now and all three returned double figure scores . Aaron Fox was a good guest at reserve , worrying for a fortnight's time , and Kasper must be knackered tonight as he has to battle for every point due to his poor gating . But the lad is a real trier . Crazy injury to Anders today , looked like him and Theo were racing against each other in heat 3 , hope it's not serious . Likewise Adam Ellis , locked up really badly on the 3rd/4th bend with nobody near him , and spectacularly got thrown over the handlebars . Looked a real nasty one . But a good three points for us against a largely disappointing Witches side , but a long day . Oh dear , oh dear
