  1. Exactly , the ruling must have changed . With the BSPA's Exhalted Cyclops sitting in residence 20 odd miles away along the M8 , there's no chance of us pulling a fast one
  2. Been discussed before , too many stupid image rights associated with speedway . My mate takes photos from the centre green at Glasgow and he's not allowed to even put them on facebook till days after the meeting . It's mental
  3. Thought the 19th was changed to August the 12th for the telly Sorry i see the 19th is the KO Cup Berwick v The Smugs now
  4. Sadly there's nothing to attract young people at the moment . We were stood on the back straight at Glasgow last Sunday and there was a grand total of 2 kids . The majority of the rest of the inhabitants wouldnt see 50 again . There's just too much going on elsewhere for youngsters to be interested in standing in a crumbling stadium , whistling with their hands in their pockets as another delay takes place while listening to mindnumbing gibberish over the microphone in between the seventies greatest hits being played . By god we even had Crazy Horses by the Osmonds being played at Glasgow the other week
  5. I see we've moved Anders to the number 2 jacket and r/r for Christian will be at 3
  6. The last few posts have made me realise the scariest thing . Derek Sneddon is now Scotland's number 1
  7. Edinburgh 1 R/R or guest for George Hunter 2 R/R or guest for Bert Harkins 3 R/R or guest for Andrew Tully 4 R/R or guest for Willie Lawson 5 R/R or guest for Doug Templeton 6 R/R or guest for Ross Brady 7 Derek Sneddon Glasgow 1 R/R or guest for Jim McMillan 2 R/R or guest for James Grieves 3 R/R or guest for Bobby Beaton 4 R/R or guest for Benny Rourke 5 R/R or guest for Kenny McKinna 6 R/R or guest for Colin Caffrey 7 James McBain
  8. That would be r/r and a few guests then for both teams
  9. Maybe it's just another rule that has miraculously disappeared or been changed without anybody knowing . It happens quite a lot in speedway
  10. 22 meetings unbeaten and you are just learning to believe in your team lol . I think it's pretty obvious that they're quite good
  11. Not at all . We have no reason to fear anyone round Ashfield . We can do this
  12. Stewart is the best team manager in the business and if anyone can save British Speedway by masterminding the end of the smug domination , then it's Stewart .
  13. Peter Waite used to get criticised a lot , but he would never have put up with that
  14. Very true Julie , with the seven rides no longer available , Richie will probably send Steve up for this one
  15. I know it's early , but i'm bored . It's our monthly duel with " the invincibles " this week . Three home wins on the spin has brought back the feelgood ish factor at Ashfield , but now it's THEM . Yes the blue and gold steamroller breezes up Hawthorn street on Sunday , brimming with confidence of collecting all 4 points as they cement their place at the top of the league . Assuming Redcar don't upset the applecart , the Smugs will still be on this amazing unbeaten run , and i'm not sure of the actual figure , but if they avoid defeat home and away against the Bears , they could break Arena Essex's unbeaten record from 1991 in this fixture . The Golden Child and Samantha have impressed recently in guest bookings here , and we all know what the blessed GP star is capable of . Was a battering in the League Cup meeting earlier in the season , just hope Herr Wolbert does a bit better this time . My sources told me on Sunday that Mason Campton would be guesting for us this week , hope that's true . Sunday's teams could be - though i'm guessing what positions the Smugs will be in Huge Underdogs 1 Kevin Wolbert 2 Anders Thomsen 3 r/r for Christian Henry 4 Theo Pijper 5 Rusty Harrison 6 Kasper Lykke 7 Mason Campton (g) The invincible Smugs 1 The Blessed GP wildcard Cookie 2 Justin Sedgmen 3 The Golden Child 4 One of the Worrall twins 5 Sam Masters 6 Samantha Fox 7 Desperate Deek God i'd love to beat this mob just the once haha , i'll be wearing a few packs of oven chips on the build up to this .
  16. We are at our happiest when crap , crapness is our comfort blanket
  17. That's very true . The new Monarchs on here are mostly the younger version who have really only known success in their speedway supporting life . As opposed to some of the ones who would take the huff at the least little dig . Very refreshing . Though i better get the packet of oven chips back on my shoulder now , don't want to be lopsided walking to work .
