  1. On my way on the Choo Choo, this is going to be epic . C'mon the Bandits then c'mon the Tigers
  2. Some of the times were in the 56's , so that doesn't suggest the track was really unfit . And the likes of Jake Allan , Ben Barker and Josh Auty didn't seem phased by it . Obviously it wasn't perfect given the amount of rain that had fallen on it on the days leading up to the meeting , but last week's heavy defeat had more to do with our mindset regarding the track , rather than the condition the track was in
  3. I think if we hadn't had such a backlog , then the meeting last week wouldn't have went ahead . And that's the worry , if the same attitude is apparent tomorrow evening , then we'll be there for the taking
  4. Yes i saw that , Rasser and Claus didn't exactly set the world alight tonight either .
  5. So this is the starter dish before the much awaited Saturday double header . We have to bounce back after last Saturday's lamentable performance and it won't be easy against a Bandits side full of Ashfield specialists . Will THJ remember where Scotland is on a Friday now ? Which Ben Barker will turn up to guest for the Bandits ? And will we show a bit more fight than we did last week . If we get a dry day tomorrow , we'll find out .
  6. Hard to really understand the reasons why . Pickerings injury didn't help, as has Heep's absence . But the two main reasons look like being Lawson's contribution from reserve wasn't what was hoped for and Wells has been poor on the road .
  7. Not so , it's a local dust up . If it were Berwick v Glasgow followed by Berwick against Eastbourne or Birmingham , I could see your point . But on this occasion everybody in attendance will have a team to support in both matches.
  8. Yes Sarj wasn't convincing there , but whoever thought Mikkel B Andersen was an improvement needs their head examined
  9. Touch of the Big Time Charlies about us last night . While we moaned and whinged about the track , the Scunny riders got on with it. attacked the track with a purpose and were well worthy of the win . 53-37 didn't flatter them at all . We're coming to the time of year when tracks ate going to be difficult and weather affected , and if we show the attitude we showed last night we'll be winning nothing
  10. Yes there is , but I like to go to the Black and Gold after the speedway and stop in Berwick overnight
  11. Is there something else on in Berwick next Saturday apart from the double header ? Been looking at b&B's and they're all over a hundred quid for the night . Anyone know of one on the speedway track side of the river ?
  12. Maybe optimistic starting a thread for this meeting during the current monsoon season , but after two consecutive rain offs followed by a blank weekend, we're desperate to get this on with the cut off date rapidly approaching . Covers are down , but the rain needs to stop at some point before tomorrow . So fingers crossed we get this on
  13. I'm sorry , but when you enter a competition surely you want to try your best to try and win it . I dont get this argument when a team shows a wee bit of ambition the " win at all cost " accusation comes out . I really don't understand that way of thinking .
  14. We're quite happy to cheer on the Bandits first . Be a nice warm up act before the serious stuff starts
  15. I was sat in the front row of the stand and couldn't tell who had got up on the line , so nobody was well in front
  16. Plus Mr Maximum Is away GP Challenging this weekend
  17. And so it goes on and on and on and on . Cook can ride until the appeal is heard , he might yet still get banned . Which should make everybody very happy it seems
  18. Be nice if Birmingham could upset the league leaders here
  19. He's being overshadowed by fellow reserve Connor Bailey recently , he's definitely struggling away from Ashfield. Yesterday was a disappointment, after losing a match we really should have won at Leicester , I was optimistic about our chances here , but we never got going and never really recovered from being 22-8 down after 5 heats . Take nothing away from the home side , they were much better than us on the day
