  1. That was heart breaking for young Sam and us in heat 14 . Definitely a meeting that got away , but I'd happily take Leicester in the play offs
  2. Awful meeting on a difficult track , but at least Eastbourne got pumped . Stopped at the right time as it's a monsoon now
  3. Probably the first time in my life I'll say this. I hope Edinburgh pump them
  4. Sick to death of this poxy rain every bloody day
  5. Seriously? Sheffield's visits are usually accompanied by a downpour anyway , where have you been ?
  6. Oh well , that was quite a downpour at 10 to 7 , bend 4 was underwater in no time . The earlier conversation about tyres was irrelevant as it would have needed to be jet skis . Never mind , we did a Berwick pub crawl instead , though there are one or two very strange pubs in Berwick
  7. Our train is just leaving Glasgow Central in 10 mins , so I'll keep an eye on your posts
  8. Time the citadel of speed had a roof just like a similar stadium in Cardiff has
  9. Totally agree , the racing has been brilliant this season and although we sit proudly at the top of the league , we're not hammering teams at Ashfield . Every meeting , apart from Birmingham and Edinburgh , has been close battles . I'm just hoping our new number 2 was riding poor equipment last night as he looked very slow . But 4 wins in the space of 7 days , life is good
  10. Late start for a thread for this important meeting, 5 points clear at the top should we win it . What a week it's been already with wins at Scunny and Somerset since we were last here . Be a toughy tonight as we only scraped through by 2 points against the Bears when they knocked us out the cup on aggregate. So we need to be on it from the start . Ex-bear Mikkel B Andersen makes his debut for us , good luck agent Sarj at the dump , while the newly crowned British Champion , Charles Wright, heads the opposition . Going to be quite a meeting
  11. Thought you couldn't do that , ride on the same track for the two away sides in the space of a week
  12. Thanks to the Somerset fans who made us really welcome and to Dave Thompson for letting us out onto the centre green for the last three heats . Everyone was very sporting in defeat and not one person mentioned dodgy fuel lol . Tonight was a joy , some fantastic racing and in the company of some wonderful people . I love coming to Somerset
  13. Claus ( ex Rebel but inconsistent) , Sarj ( unreliable) and both reserves can take Starky's rides . Claus will be heat 14 in all likelihood . I'm confident our reserves will score against Somerset's, but not taking Starke's . But the most important thing is that it stays dry and we enjoy an exciting meeting and may the best team win
  14. Shame Paul has to miss out , the rider 4th in your averages is a difficult one to cover for . But it's seems dry this morning in West Huntspill after yesterday's wet stuff
  15. You have a point . Not heading home for a while , got Manchester and Somerset to do first
  16. Blobby is a lone Wolf now , the days of Sniper on here were hilarious , but the Edinburgh posters these days are more pleasant and not bitter , Blobs aside . Anyway after a wonderful away win and a hotel with a 24 hour bar, we're a bit fragile heading for Manchester . Cracking team performance though , just as well the fuel additives arrived after heat 2 , amazing what Red Bull does mixed with the nitro . Didn't work for our glorious leader though as he was 6 points down on his usual score . But cometh the hour , cometh the man , take a bow Rasser , you were immense .
  17. Anyway we're all pissed , so it's been a good night and an excellent away win , so good bless the stripes and idiot the Monarchs
  18. It's wrong not to spread the dodgy fuel round the whole team, must do better guys
