  1. What we witnessed yesterday was a real emerging talent . Never before has a green tractor driver shown such guile and track craft . The way he hunted down and passed the red tractor on lap 27 , and then repeated the manoeuvre 43 laps later was breathtaking . Well worth the admission money despite the speedway breaks in between
  2. Maintain our 100% per cent home record tomorrow and that should clinch a top 2 finish . Wont be easy though , don't want to use the usual Edinburgh moan about guests making the opposition stronger as you never know what Jake Allan might have done , but that looks a solid septet the visitors have . Last year Somerset won the corresponding fixture , though we threw it away that day , and we gained our revenge in the play off semi final . We don't want to slip up tomorrow though . At least the forecast is for a dry day tomorrow , in hindsight someone objecting to us racing on a Friday has done us a favour this season .
  3. On the bright side , you'll be saving a fortune on cleaning products soon enough
  4. Losing Brady Kurtz has sort of ended your season , but you have that wonderful afternoon in Peterborough to look back on , as long as you're back next season Lewy I've enjoyed the mutual respect that has developed between Glasgow and Plymouth fans over the last couple of seasons , that was enhanced at Peterborough , I hope your club kicks on from this season's first piece of silverware
  5. Good 4 points , puts us back in the box seat for a top 2 finish
  6. Never comfortable with having a Monarch as a guest , but the laddie seems to be learning fast and he should be okay round Rye
  7. Edinburgh treat a visiting fan fairly and properly , why should that annoy us ?
  8. You're spoiled watching your speedway at the East of England Showground , you'll find tonight a bit of a culture shock
  9. Nothing worse than travelling a long way and it's rained off, I have plenty experience of that , so I hope the weather behaves itself for you
  10. We need at least one more away win in our quest for a top two finish , all due respect to Plymouth , but out of the away fixtures we have left this is the best chance
  11. Not 100% sure , but I don't think Danny is making his comeback until the home meeting with Ipswich on Sunday
  12. No , it's fine , all that's missing is the weather forecast
  13. Promoters only want transparency until they see a loophole in the rule book themselves that they can take advantage of .
  14. He might need the practice at Ashfield , but unfortunately this meeting is at Rye House where we will do well to repeat last season's magnificent victory
  15. O'Malley did , Penfold rode in the number 4 position only scoring in one meeting , 2 points in a home KO Cup meeting against Kings Lynn . He went back home after about a month citing home sickness as an excuse
  16. Possibly or it could work the other way of giving clubs an end of season interest . Having the League Cup run over a month at the end of the season is surely much better than having group stages done by the middle of April and then having the semis 5 months later .
  17. We still have the accolade of having the worst though . Take a bow Jayden O'Malley and Michael Penfold
  18. League Cup would be better served as an end of season tournament , this year's final is going to be in October anyway . We could have the League and play offs and KO Cup decided by the middle of September , then have the League Cup to finish the season
  19. Edinburgh clearly decided he was a flop
  20. Yeah Poole will probably win that again . Whilst Somerset look a cut above , our league title is not so easy to predict
