  1. BWitcher, Tatum, Ermolenko and Richardson didn't know who had won Saturday's GP. I did. Therefore, I will trust my own judgement. I also know Gollob changed his line up the straight in spectacular fashion at Bydgoszcz last year, to then fly under Nicki Pedersen entering the third bend. I can't remember anyone complaining about that. Incidentally, I spoke to a rider on Saturday night who didn't blame Gollob at all. All the best Rob
  2. Paulco - I actually gained a new appreciation of Nicki Pedersen on Saturday night. The way he was riding was very clever. He was missing out riding over the ruts but still attacking the circuit. If only he didn't resort to the tactics he displayed in the previous Grand Prix. All the best Rob
  3. Don't talk crap. Gollob did nothing wrong. It was a racing accident caused by Jonsson placing himself into the wrong place at the wrong time. Riders quite often change their line down the straight. Gollob, in particular. Watch him at Bydgoszcz. All the best Rob
  4. Gollob did nothing wrong - and Tony Steele's decision was correct. All the best Rob
  5. JB - sorry, I disagree. The referee was correct in excluding Jonsson. Gollob did nothing wrong. All the best Rob
  6. Firstly, it's Lindgren. Secondly, he didn't win - Holta did All the best Rob
  7. Nonsense. There was no contact (well, not at the moment of the accident). Carter fell off. All the best Rob
  8. I believe you mean temporary tracks. All the best Rob
  9. EVERY speedway meeting is held on a man-made track. All the best Rob
  10. No, Hans only got left out of the 1985 World Pairs. He was brought back for the final of the 1985 World Team Cup Final at Long Beach. The re-run at Bradford was even more obvious - Knudsen rode Nielsen instead of the track on the second bend, pushing Nielsen wide from second to fourth. Team orders from Mr. Olsen. Ulitmately the feud with Nielsen cost Olsen his job - he was forced to resign as Danish team manager at end of 1985. All the best Rob
  11. Well, as Hans won 22 World Championships (of various kinds), which is a clear five ahead of any other rider, not many. The 1985 World Pairs Final - for which Tommy Knudsen was selected instead of Hans at the height of the feud. And maybe the 1985 World Final at Bradford - when Knudsen seemed to be under instruction (you would assume from Olsen) to mess up Nielsen in his fourth ride. That's probably it. All the best Rob
  12. Schumi - isn't it obvious? I post on it. All the best Rob
  13. He's not Don Ole Anyway, Hans Nielsen opposed Ole Olsen and finished with four World Championships - one more than Olsen himself. All the best Rob
  14. "Spice up the product". Bollocks. I've been down the pits and been the last person to speak to a rider, before he crashed and smashed his thigh to smithereens. Fortunately that rider defied the odds and is now back riding, but I still get a sick feeling when I see a rider crash, until I know they're alright. Great racing is entertaining. But crashes never are. All the best Rob
  15. Oh come on, he's not the mafia. Eventually IMG will wake up, smell the coffee and Olsen will be out on his ear. And it won't be a moment too soon. All the best Rob
  16. Well, you're not. You seem to find accidents "entertaining". Good racing on a decent surface is entertaining, not watching riders fall off and get hurt. All the best Rob
  17. Maybe they should let a few of us down the pits to tell Mr. Olsen some home truths. Sooner or later he is going to get someone killed. All the best Rob
  18. So you find it "entertaining" that several riders got injured tonight. It wasn't entertainment - it was f****** carnage. All the best Rob
  19. The track tonight was a complete disgrace - and was a direct cause of several accidents. Olsen should be sacked with immediate effect. All the best Rob
  20. Nicholls really did disappoint tonight. There's no way he should he failed to qualify for the semi-finals - the move on Fosberg was daft. All the best Rob
  21. Do you know the first thing I do when there's a thread I'm not supposed to post on? All the best Rob
  22. Messed up the 1977 World Final somewhat, though. All the best Rob
