  1. Anyone using their eyes could see Kerr was not under motive power at the point the race was stopped. He should have been excluded. Wouldn't have affected who won on the night, but it did change the destination of the bonus point.
  2. Says an Ipswich fan 😆 Quality racing right up until Heat 15 tonight, when Luke Killeen belted around Danny King. Terrific ride by Nicholls in Heat 13. He'd do that for you too if you gave him a decent track to ride on!
  3. Congratulations on your summary of last night's meeting
  4. Cracking evening. Decent crowd considering the forecast - although would have been bigger had more Poole fans made the trip. Lot less Pirates' fans tonight than Coventry brought a fortnight ago. Track prepared for rain that didn't come, but still favoured those who attacked it. such as Mitch McDiarmid. What a performance from Dayle Wood - masterclass in gating and also lovely team-riding in Heat 8 to ensure the 5-1.
  5. Not aware of that. The Poole team that was submitted for the programme was Kerr at 3 and Cook at 5, which is also the team on the BSPA website and Poole's social media this morning. PS Apologies for the error regarding Poole's sponsor in the programme - of course, it's Wessex Marine and will be corrected when Pirates are next in town. My error - it's been that sort of week but now looking forward to seeing speedway back at Oxford!
  6. Sorry, Steve, most of the Oxford fans aren't old dinosaurs and on an almost obsolete old school forum. And those dinosaurs still on here realise all the Oxford fans are on social media and focus our attention there. Should be an absolute cracker of a meeting tonight
  7. That's not quite true, is it? Before the close of play yesterday (by the time you posted the above), an item had been added to the Oxford Speedway website, previewing the Plymouth meeting and updating the situation. Obviously, what Oxford were not going to do was promise a meeting next Wednesday until they were in a position where they could, especially after this Wednesday's postponement. The Oxford fans are happy, if you're not, that's up to you. Personally, I'm overjoyed. At points over the last week or so, I wondered if this was the end. You can't please all the people all the time and this is a classic case. You'd think everyone would be happy that a speedway track is continuing, but...
  8. A number of meetings have taken place this week, and the continuation of the speedway is now assured
  9. Oxford v Poole IS taking place next Wednesday - tickets on sale at Tickets – OXFORD SPEEDWAY
  10. The refund information is sent directly to all ticket holders. You'll have the ticket transferred to April 22, with an option of a refund.
  11. Track prep taking place this morning
  12. Both Richard Lawson and Scott Nicholls (maybe others too) have pulled out of the British Final in the past and didn't get any kind of sanction. I do see where you're coming from, but it hasn't been enforced.
  13. I doubt if the riders involved will accept the invite to the British Final if no GP wildcard is on offer, so no need to move the Championship fixtures
  14. Must be hugely frustrating. I just hope a league structure is in place for 2027 that makes better use of the younger riders wanting more fixtures.
  15. The sport is enough to drive you mental at times, but kept at it - Luke is too good to quit!
  16. Indeed it isn't! Next rider announcement on Tuesday!
  17. Solution is simple. Don't let the tail (the riders) wag the dog (British Speedway). Come up with the best solution for British Speedway.
  18. If that was the case, the last thing the leaseholder would do is to request another speedway meeting this season. Guess what's happening at Oxford next Thursday? Old Bob, why not buy a ticket: Tickets – OXFORD SPEEDWAY
  19. You can say "end off" (do you actually mean "end of"?) as much as you like, but that isn't the rule, is it? Makes sense that two 4-2s are better than just a single 5-1.
  20. Compassionate leave is not allowed either. That's what Oxford asked for Jacob Clouting. Story here: PREVIEW: Key battle for Chargers in Scotland – OXFORD SPEEDWAY Relevant paragraphs: Chargers will be going into action at Edinburgh without skipper Jody Scott, who is due to be riding for his Cab Direct Championship club Redcar at Glasgow on the same evening. They will also be missing Max Broadhurst (ruled out for the rest of the season with a hand injury) and Jacob Clouting (due to the birth of his daughter). Cooper Rushen and Harry Fletcher will guest for Scott and Broadhurst respectively. Chargers were due to utilise rider replacement for Clouting, but he has not been granted compassionate leave by the Speedway Control Bureau and Chargers will use the unattached Kieran Douglas instead. Personally, I think speedway needs to move with the times and allow such leave, but unfortunately it doesn't.
  21. Sadly, I think the SCB will step in and block the guest, just as they did with R/R for Jacob Clouting for Oxford Chargers at Edinburgh. British Speedway is in the dark ages and doesn't do paternity/compassionate leave.
  22. No it's not. The rider himself confirmed on BSN it's pronouced how it's spelt. I think he might know better than you do!
  23. So is it now play-offs at Redcar on Sunday 5th and KO Cup at Poole on Wednesday 8th?
