  1. Good luck to the Hammers for the future. While it is sad to lose a speedway venue, I hope the club thrives at Rye House.
  2. You're making things up, as usual. Racers and Royals has quote the rule correctly.
  3. I think I might wait until next year to say hello to the Massif boys (are there any Massif ladies? ). I'll go to Scunny on Friday when Josh and Jake are due back.
  4. Drew Kemp was outstanding last night. Great to see a young Brit doing so well. Scorpions simply ran out of resources. Disappointing night, but it was always going to tough as soon as Josh and Jake were ruled out.
  5. Broc Nicol is very good around the EWR. Still looks a really good meeting.
  6. I reckon you've got every chance at Scunny later today, because Josh and Jake have held us together this year. We're going to miss them tonight. For Scunny, even if we max out in the final 4 fixtures, it's probably not enough, but Witches still have a chance. Come along tonight and see if your lads can take the league points - because it's not too late for you guys. I just hope for a cracking meeting and a Scunny win, so we go up a place or two. And that the reserves really start to fire, ready for our two forthcoming semi-finals.
  7. Yeah, Scunthorpe v Ipswich is always a good meeting. I wouldn't mind it being slightly less eventful than the 2015 meeting, though. That was one of the most bonkers meetings I've ever been to, with controversy, a sit-down protest, punch-ups and a subsequent ban for one of the riders.
  8. Ooops. I can't get used to Workington actually having home meetings.
  9. You coming up, Baldyman? It will be interesting to see how Drew Kemp goes on his away debut for Witches.
  10. Looks like it's the top (available) rider from each of the 11 clubs, plus the top five best No 2 riders. Both Craig Cook and Steve Worrall have 24 matches on their rolling averages. Why would you want to exclude them, when they've qualified?
  11. Are you having a laugh? Surely having the strongest possible line-up is a GOOD thing? I would suggest it's been done on the rolling averages.
  12. RIP Ronnie Moore - another legend gone.
  13. THE first leg of the Championship Shield semi-final between Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions and Workington Comets will take place at the Eddie Wright Raceway on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th at 7.30pm.
  14. Ankle injury - it's not yet known whether there's a fracture or whether it's tendon damage. Fingers crossed that Josh is OK for August 17th.
  15. Fair play for coming on here and not disappearing off the forum for a week, as others have done in the past. I hope Tigers manage to restore a bit of pride over the rest of the season. Well apart on your visit to the EWR, of course.
  16. Looking forward to seeing him twice in August then, since I'm planning to do Scunny vs Ippo and Ippo vs Scunny. Is the massif still going, and do I need to bring some Jaffa Cakes?
  17. Wasn't his last official British average something like 7.03. In which, can GB have him as a reserve or supplementary reserve?
  18. It's the summer holidays, so I suspect his parents have taken him to Devon.
  19. Fabulous result for Scunny last night. Great to see Danny win a race. It's not actually his first this season - he won races at Redcar and Sheffield earlier in the season.
  20. I was at that last meeting in 2008. I'm an Oxford fan, but it was heart-breaking. The true Reading fans were there with tears in their eyes, wandering around the track at the end like lost souls.
  21. Um, and what about the Championship Shield and the Knockout Cup. Plenty of speedway in September and October.
  22. Could do with NKI, Smoli, Pawlicki, JK here. Would put Cookie in a three-man run-off with the top two going through.
