both Kemp and Rowe will progress next year, not because they're apart -

i think most people stay the other side of the river, more around the city and old town. the British Bulldog pub normally seems busy with speedway fans, or Molly Malone's in the old town

incoming president is Len Silver. team of the year GB Speedway. Isle of Wight community club of the year. unsung hero John Sampford. Briggo got a special recognition award. Kenny McKinna & Paul Ackroyd from the SRBF and the WSRA received cheques from Rob Doran from his recent Ivan Mauger evening, Laurence Rogers and Bruce Cribb from the sale of Cribby's book, and Glen & Lynda Belcher from the annual summer BBQ. Phil Rising memorial was presented by James Easter for Andy Skeels of the Star who unfortunately couldn't make it. A Life Dedicated to Speedway award for Colin Pratt, accepted by Sue & Troy Pratt. Graham Miles did a short comedy stint as outgoing president Egon Muller couldn't be there. and plenty of takings at the bar!

i think the giving up of a lot of the grounds to houses might be the issue that will need dealing with, don't know how soon the houses are planned for though

when i was at Canterbury the track was limited with number of events so they had practice at Iwade, and we had p&p at Arena Essex at least one year too. Graham Arnold was a big Canterbury supporter and went on to own the Iwade track
