  2. incoming president is Len Silver. team of the year GB Speedway. Isle of Wight community club of the year. unsung hero John Sampford. Briggo got a special recognition award. Kenny McKinna & Paul Ackroyd from the SRBF and the WSRA received cheques from Rob Doran from his recent Ivan Mauger evening, Laurence Rogers and Bruce Cribb from the sale of Cribby's book, and Glen & Lynda Belcher from the annual summer BBQ. Phil Rising memorial was presented by James Easter for Andy Skeels of the Star who unfortunately couldn't make it. A Life Dedicated to Speedway award for Colin Pratt, accepted by Sue & Troy Pratt. Graham Miles did a short comedy stint as outgoing president Egon Muller couldn't be there. and plenty of takings at the bar!

  4. i normally go for 5 - 7 days and rent an apartment, really good prices and good quality accomodation
  5. i think the giving up of a lot of the grounds to houses might be the issue that will need dealing with, don't know how soon the houses are planned for though
  6. when i was at Canterbury the track was limited with number of events so they had practice at Iwade, and we had p&p at Arena Essex at least one year too. Graham Arnold was a big Canterbury supporter and went on to own the Iwade track

  9. Kings Lynn had to buy their own medals for the riders when they were winning stuff
  10. Glasgow need to avoid the bumpy outside line on bend 2, keep it low down for the faster route
  11. i think Anders has his knee sorted, but just needs plenty of rest to get it right, will score a lot more when it's right that's for sure
  12. if Basso rides how he started on Wednesday then this could be closer than some Poole supporters think

  14. i did hear Hans Nielsen being asked at the SoN, but that was a no so rule him out
  15. every time i've been to Glasgow its been a good meeting, its a great racetrack and was really looking forward to the Poland team there, it didn't disappoint
  16. might be worth a look at Kemp, reckon he'll be after a bigger track next year
  17. Still got a test match at Glasgow tomorrow, then I think there might be some celebrating after
  18. Those that want Bewley in, I expect them to get their wish tomorrow, Woffinden looking VERY 2nd hand after. shame about the track, not great, very slick and the racing showed it wasn’t prepared how it deserves to be
