  1. Well said Brian. In history as a Wolves fan who did Wolves home and away for every fixture and then did Brum to see the riders from the other division that I would not see and as a bonus get a visit to the Barton Arms in.... I now don't have to do Perry Barr. I'm not alone!!! My other mates used to do Premier away... then A or B fixture and now don't bother. No wonder crowds are down. Aargh. . time to wake up.
  2. You never know.... Chris Holder might have started collecting 'Tractors' and a few more as an incentive could seal the deal !!!
  3. Unless he's guesting for someone who should be taken seriously!
  4. Whoops, can I blame predictive tewxting...... I will get my Biro out and correct it.. Nah, I will play at being a Promoter and not bother!
  5. Looking thru' last week's Speedway Star I saw that the list of top averages for Premiership and Championship. Top of Premiership: Steve Masters (Wolves) Top of Champoonship: Steve Masters (Edinburgh) Are they related???? Should the Leagues be renamed; Monday & Thursday League and the Rest Of the Week League??? Finally should Chris Harris represent every team at the League Riders Final??? Team sport has certainly been wrecked in Britain.
  6. Hope Inspector Morse investigated?
  7. Is that more important than Platinum Premiership Protected Day??
  8. Really???? The Wolves only have Becker that doesn't double-up!!! Oh... and the Championship has more teams...
  9. Another success story for the so called "protected" Monday / Thursday Premier 'No Variety' League.... and it's on TV as well. What a shambles..... again!
  10. I've just Google'd "his name" and it came back with 'Brian Cohen'
  11. Same here.... I've been known to applaud Poole at the end of a meeting. ... although the last time was 1969 when they won 49-29 at Wolves. That was a great 'team' in the days of team Speedway. This was before the curse of doubling up, cynical average manipulation and excessive rider replacement took hold!
  12. Is it time to move the cameras to Monmore Green? It would allow fans a bonus chance to see Bomber on TV, in case he hasn't appeared at their track yet! Also Scott Nicholls could interview him self as an interviewer replacement for Sam Ermolenko. We must get the credibility back into the sport at least on TV otherwise the integrity of the Premier League could be at risk.
  13. Slightly off-topic, but I was reminded of a Reading fan who asked, "Why do Wolves fan call Tim Hunt, 'Isaac'"
  14. Bomber might be a bit race rusty. He hasn't ridden much in the last few weeks!
  15. Certainly an entertainer. I was amazed that he turned up at Perry Barr every week in an Austin Allegro with a bike rack on the back! My mate wouldn't trust his to get us from Wolves to Brum on the M6 let alone making the journey from Czecho'. RIP
  16. Thank you. He's been great to watch in Wolves colours.
  17. Oh yes... you are reveered in our group at Monmore. Beowulf has you in his Wolves 'Hall Of Fame'. We still owe you a beer!
  18. Naw, I'm told by the younger ones on the terraces that it was the laydown that ruined Speedway .... But to go back on topic. I missed the opportunity to see the Wolves win 49-29 at Custom House... and never got the chance to go again. One of my regrets ... you always think you can go again next year
  19. Is that the man who ruined British Speedway by importing Jawa's?.... although it was claimed it stopped the Japs' .
  20. I have a plastic penguin from the centre green at Costa Mesa, that was made up to look like a referee as it's painted with black and white vertical stripes!!! The US customs checked it out and were suprised that there was no packages stuffed inside. However my mates prize winning super large 'Las Vegas' Teddy Bear had the razor blade treatment.
  21. I suspect that Peterborough could be stopped from using him as the integrity of the sport must be upheld!
  22. So... its free to get in? but you can't get in! Speedway Marketing reaches another low. Will you get a re-admission ticket if its called off after two heats? Enjoy
  23. .... which extends the night by typically 10 - 15 mins to see under one min of racing.... not very 'super' .... is it?
  24. There's also a belief that the 'bug' can congregate around stadium floodlights in certain areas of Norfolk and cause major impact to work performance there as well.
