  1. Glasgow are looking to run on saturdays next year, so that rules them out.
  2. Shame it can't be tuesday nights, like the good old days!
  3. With lakeside gone and Leicester doubtful, the EL is in a precarious position. Reinforcements are needed desperately.
  4. If rye go EL, maybe lakeside can nick their saturday race night. If the hammers run next season.
  5. Acknowledged, despite not being an eagles fan, I have been going to Arlington since 1972. JPB's performance was one of the finest I have seen from an away rider. The way he tackled such a technical track was a joy to watch.
  6. To be honest, the shanes fiasco stunk the whole place out. A lot of my mates are eagles fans, and they were as bewildered as the rest of us.
  7. I was at the meeting tonight. The sad thing is, I was not suprised by the farce that greeted me. A few amateurs trying to run a professional sport and failing miserably. Yet another nail in speedway's over loaded coffin.
  8. Sad news, dave will always be remembered as one of the 'happy hammers'.
  9. I tried telling rosco they only had two wheel barrows in stock at wickes!
  10. I've been every season since my first meeting at Wimbledon in 1968.
  11. are you talking about the uncle Len of the EL dave?
  12. Lynn also have the young stars v eastbourne match still to run.
  13. It does the sports credibility no favours to have the league tables incomplete. That's why you need an outside body to enforce the fixtures are completed.
  14. A poor performance from the brummies tonight, especially the middle order. No wood for the eagles on Wednesday leaves the door ever so slightly open.
  15. Both the kent and eastbourne legs of the NL semi final pulled in excellent crowds.
  16. Will the storm complete their home fixtures this season.
  17. I don't agree with the play offs either, but eastbourne didn't make the rules. The brummies need some heat winners at Arlington, which is never easy for the away team.
  18. Here we are almost entering the last week of the season, with the league fixtures looking like they will not be completed. Leicester v Lynn has gone, coventry v stoke & rye and Lynn v eastbourne have not been rearranged. How can promoters want more meetings when they struggle to stage fixtures at the present level. Big gaps in the summer months and a mad rush in October, lead to this mess every season.
