  1. Shouldn't this thread be re titled - the collapse of the EL and the effect on the pound, or the lack of such currency entering the promoters coffers!
  2. The weather was awful last Saturday, at least it's dry here tonight.
  3. 6th June hackney, 24 Wimbledon, 18 abandoned after 7 heats 22nd June hackney, 13 Wimbledon, 11 abandoned after 4 heats I went to both of these meetings!
  4. I went to london v Scottish monarchs in 1996 which was abandoned due to a power failure. Also eastbourne v oxford in the early 90's which went the same way. Overall it's a very rare occurrence.
  5. A routine home win for the eagles tonight in front of a very good crowd. Too many passengers for the Kings to have any chance of causing an upset.

  15. i saw some great meetings at perry Barr. It was a really smart stadium with good facilities.
  16. I went to ice speedway at heerenveen in the mid 1980's. Is it being staged at the same venue.
  17. Being a regular at eastie and Central Park, I'm looking forward to both meetings.
  18. romford, great stadium, massive crowds, narrow track and concrete safety fence!
  19. How many swindon fans truly believe that the new stadium will be built and ready for next season.
  20. Not having a home meeting next weekend could really backfire on the eagles if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
  21. Ronnie Greene's other club Bristol also had a star on their race jackets in the late 1930's.
