An extra televised meeting and the revenue it brings in, is probably more important to lakeside than qualifying for the final. I get the impression they run a tight ship at arena and need to balance the books. I was at the meeting last night, and the tricky track conditions definitely hindered the home side. With Jonsson and a consistent surface the hammers might have nicked a narrow home win.
Last night after watching yet another long drawn out meeting at rye house. Tomorrow is another day and I'm already looking forward to going to lakeside v belle vue!
Yet another 'well run' meeting at the launch pad tonight. Multiple re runs, exstensive tractor breaks all added to the 'entertainment' on offer. If the track gets any slicker it would be classed as concrete.
Can someone get a grip and sort this fine old club out. Rant over!
It's ok if you live local to the track shads, but hoddesdon is a two hour journey for me. The meetings at rye this season have been run at a snails pace, so getting home at 10.30 on a Sunday evening does very little for me.
So was this event the real farewell to the abbey, if it was, what a low key way to go out. No doubt if the 'new stadium' isn't ready for the start of the 2017 season, el tel can stage yet another farewell meeting next year.
With poole signing antonio lindback, I think it would be a good time to rename the EL matt ford's flying circus. It has a good ring to it, don't you think.
