  1. Yes I got a reply straight away when I contacted them. I appreciate the fact some things are out of their control but need better communication. The fact it was saying “stream starts soon” right up until 5 mins to 7 was the frustrating thing. Doesnt sound like I’ve missed much to be fair.
  2. Berwick website said there was a stream available and took my £11.99 earlier today. Logged on - stream will start soon message appears. Two minutes before meeting due to start the stream is cancelled. Not on (in any sense).
  3. Comfortable win for a 5 man Bears team in the end. Not a great meeting - took ages to get going, medical emergency, faulty tapes and two crashes in the first 2 heats meant it took an age to run the first few races. Horrible crash in heat 2 after Foord/Spencer got tangled and Pijper ran over Spencer. Be surprised if we see either of the Bears reserves tomorrow. Rowe was an excellent guest and Mulford and Edwards continued their good home form. Wrights pass in Heat 15 was the highlight of the night on a slick track. For the Comets there were flashes from Zischke and Bowes. Batchelor was his usual self, fine if he gated, gave up if he didn’t.
  4. No thread for last weeks so thought I better start one this week. Bears have Rowe guesting in place of Riss which you would think would weaken them, but the rest of the team all rode well last week so hopefully that will continue. Workington have riders who have scored well at Redcar in the past but might be a bit short on practice. Hard to predict this one.
  5. Yes, Redcar stream their meetings.
  6. Decent meeting and some good racing. From a Bears point of view they threw it away, couple of engine issues and points dropped from scoring positions. 12 heat winners and still losing is quite something. Mulford and Edwards have to contribute more if the Bears want to do anything away from home. Scorpions were pretty solid and Declan Kennedy looked good.
  7. Newcastle over the 40 point limit! Typical of them to break the rules 😉 Sad that Erik isn’t riding and with so many ex Bears in the opposition line up should be a close meeting.
  8. Obviously Erik’s cunning plan to “park his bike to cause a crash” yesterday has backfired on him. (I’m being sarcastic just in case anyone takes this literally)
  9. Well I wasn’t at the social event, but it was posted on the Bears facebook page pretty much as soon as it was announced and I posted it on here soon after. So a bit unfair to say it was only the privileged inner circle.
  10. Confirmed as the team. Think most Bears fans will be happy with that.
  11. I won’t feel bad with some of my cultural references now seeing as though Frank Spencer last appeared on our TV 46 years ago! If Edwards and Mulford can kick on it’s a decent team, but reserves look weak. However given the top 3 that was always going to be the case. If that’s the team of course.
  12. Looks like a good line up to me. Doubt we will see many better looking (on paper) teams at the start of the season. Glasgow and Poole should be fighting it out at the top.
  13. As usual the Bears full 1-7 will be announced at the Xmas party on 7th December.
  14. Excellent meeting I thought watching the stream and congratulations to Josh Pickering, fully deserved winner, the sort of rider people want to watch.
  15. Well you can at all Redcar meetings so assume it’s no different.
  16. Edwards more likely to be Bears captain than leave in my opinion. Would be daft to get rid of him in my opinion and don’t see it happening.
  17. Congratulations to Oxford. Those who predicted the changes would affect their chances either haven’t seen the Bears ride much this season or Boughen ride at Redcar. It was all downhill after Masters was somehow allowed in the re-run of Heat 1 after sliding off and taking Wright out and then Wright messing up bend 3 on lap 4 and dropping points. Oxford far too good for the Bears who surrendered without much of a fight. Don’t let the draw fool you in thinking this was close. Boughen superb, fair play young fella, hell of a future if he keeps progressing. Redcar must be his favourite track so if he wants to keep progressing he should consider a move north…. Watched on the stream and wish I hadn’t bothered tbh.
  18. There’s always one! (I mean him and not you btw)
  19. Track, graphics, entertainment and commentary all of similar level so far. It’s not a high level either.
  20. Pleased for Redcar obviously but not a great way to end the meeting. Really difficult decision for the ref, could have gone either way.
  21. Always better to use R/R at the birth, rather than at the conception.
  22. Can’t make it tonight - haven’t seen a meeting since mid June due to the sparse fixture list and holidays/family commitments and won’t see another meeting until mid August. A very strange season. As for the match you would think that Poole would be too strong given how well they ride our track. Think the track is likely to be very slick and dusty given how hot it is. Hopefully an entertaining meeting for those watching at the stadium or online.
  23. Your last sentence would feel more sincere if you hadn’t thrown blame and baseless accusations of ill intent against another rider at the start of your post.
