  1. Does this matter? Thought it was that EL had priority unless he was an asset of the club using him or as in Josh's case did not have an EL ride before the season start. Mind you, this is probably another rule I know nothing about and does my head in!
  2. By the averages though he has achieved the 7 points required so does that not allow him to get a visa in any case? Or am I totally confused with all these speedway rules? The 3pt eligible NL rule does my head in too. Is that 3.00 to 3.99 or what? Do I care -- not really!
  3. If he has said he needs a PL ride I would suggest that he won't be at Somerset as the team will most likely be sorted despite the silence.
  4. Agreed. Even the Bandits have announced before the Rebels!
  5. You are going to have to get the spelling of his name correct if true! P.S. Don't 'quote' damosuzuki if you don't want to know. Had to delete the name in the quote otherwise you can just about see it against the grey.
  6. May even have more guest bookings than Brady though!
  7. Perhaps the Premier League instead of the Champions League, yes. "Remember when the BSPA scrapped the Elite League in 2015? That was a bold move which saved British Speedway." And then I woke up!
  8. Sorry 'chucks'; must have missed that one. Only doing my bit for the environment by recycling! Well if form is anything to go by we should be there or thereabouts. I'll be there in any case as I have been for the last 15 years, keeping the faith.
  9. Mmm? That's a tough one!As long as someone else feels the pain we have felt with very near misses over the past few years I don't mind who. What's the expression? "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride"? Sums up Somerset, 2013 excepted. As you have felt the pain of missing out in the KO cup to.... oh yes, us and you did come top of the league, I suppose it should be your friends from the West. Hope the all Scottish final lives up to the billing.
  10. WHAT? If you add up the number of times the Rebels have just missed out on winning by one or two points in all sorts of competitions you will realise how frustrating it can be for us fans. Great performance by the lads to take it to the last heat and just miss out again! I wish the Tigers well in the final but how I would chuckle if you miss out by a point.
  11. Damn it. No final home meeting for me after missing the last two. Congratulations to Glasgow. Hope you can make a good account of yourselves in the final. Sounds good, doesn't it?
  12. Caught the result after the first couple of heats and thought the worst to be honest. To my amazement it was a win for the Rebels at the next check. Even had to add up the scores to confirm it. After just loosing out last night in the Fours to the Monarchs and only having 8 in the bag, well you can hardly blame me for my pessimistic thoughts. Well done the boys. Great to have at least got something in the bag to emblazen next years programme with. Although everyone was talking about the merits of Rasmus dropping to reserve it still had to be coupled with Starkey taking to riding in the main body of the team. Seems like there was no need to panic there either. Good one Paul. Absolutely made up that we have managed to finally get a trophy for the cabinet especially after coming so close in the Pairs, the PLRC and the Fours. It gets a bit tiresome literally just missing out. Commiserations to the Monarchs who really made a competition out of it and to their fans who seem to be gracious in defeat and acknowledge the achievement of Somerset. Here's hoping this boosts us to make a good representation of ourselves in the playoffs. If we don't progress to the final, my season is already over as I'll miss the home semi having missed the KO first leg too. Come on you Rebels ... a final push to a second championship. Much more optimistic after tonight.
  13. Unfortunately I have to agree. Hopefully the Rebels can do themselves more justice this time around but think it will all be academic in the return leg.
  14. Are you sure. P – 21, W – 2, D – 2, L – 17, F – 418, A – 602 (before the PL meeting). Just hope they follow there overall record and not that of this year! Will have to follow this on updates as we have a family outing to the dentist.
  15. Don't think your riders would appreciate that as their earnings would be down!
  16. Yes. Got a feeling they may have got a bit mixed up as of late.
  17. Well it would certainly help having a night off before racing for us on a Friday. Also more meetings must take it out of the machinery.
  18. He'll just have to start banging in some maximums for us .... hopefully!
  19. Taken from here. "PREMIER LEAGUE LATEST… BERWICK continue to linger .... The Scottish outfit are now without a win in their last eight meetings in all competitions. Team manager John Anderson said:..." Well that should please the locals! Have they moved the border? Wouldn't be the first time! It was to the north of Berwick when I last lived there some 37 years ago.
