Yeah, I think we all expected him to make a bigger leap forward this year than he has so far. Seemed to have much more fight in him last year.

Aye…..and one of the longest huffs in creation. Naeb’dy’s askin you to like the Tigers, the Facennas or Cami Davie but you’ve still got to come on here every so often and bleat about them. If you don’t enjoy speedway at Glasgow then why bother, just give up your interest in it. It’s no’ all about winning trophies.

I would certainly prefer if you stuck with Edinburgh as it seems all the teams you’ve supported in the past are now defunct….so all us happy fans up here are quite glad you can’t stand Glasgow….lol..

Birmingham v Glasgow 12/07/23

Still banging the same drum in nearly every post you submit. Please read what others are saying about the consequences of making a change. I’m quite sure Glasgow have their eye on the ball and if they could make an improvement by changing the team, I’m pretty certain they would. -
To be honest, I’ve never really got the thing about team managers having a massive influence on performance. I would say Glasgow’s team presently consists of extremely motivated riders. It’s not like they’re not trying their best so don’t see what difference a different manager would make. There’s a lot of Cami haters on this forum, so I doubt you will get an overall fair opinion.

Honestly, thought it would be really tough going tonight but didn’t see this coming. Shocking display by us….shocking track as far as racing lines are concerned and shocking entertainment value all round. My immediate reaction was to refrain from attending the “no chance” second leg…..BUT…..I will attend…..because I’ll be assured of some fantastic racing and a fabulously entertaining evening. Borefests with silverware?……or “real racing” at Ashfield?……..I know what my preference is………

I'm not disagreeing with you……was just asking who you would consider as “out and out” no1 that you say we really need. You’ve answered with Cookie who I absolutely loved having at Glasgow but certainly wasn’t unbeatable latterly. -

Who would you have chosen as an “out and out” number one over Chris Harris? As far as I can see, there’s no one in the CL who would be unbeatable at Ashfield and wouldn’t be vulnerable at some point to visiting riders. It’s the nature of our track. -

Yup…..who needs three competitions? League with 2 home 2 away plus the KO cup would be my answer. -

“Friday night is Speedway night” used to be the saying……..and it was consistently Friday night weekly for most of the season. I think that is where much of the problem lies in attracting higher crowd levels. All this chopping and changing and having large gaps throughout the calendar does the sport no favours and folk can’t get into a routine. I realise the financial implications of the present day for some who may not be able to afford weekly meetings but I think more consistency would help the situation. -

Torment and boredom are two different things entirely….. -

It’s obvious this situation has caused you extreme personal torment to still be going on about it. I doubt very much though, that anyone else is as greatly concerned and I also doubt that it will have any noticeable bearing on Glasgow attendances. Time to move away from this as it’s now becoming very boring. -

Have you ever heard the quote…….”If you don’t like the Scottish weather, just hang on for 20 minutes”? There’s a reason for this saying. You just don’t understand the weather systems in Scotland. Bearing in mind the Berwick issues, this is the correct decision despite what you may think. -

You sound anything but neutral in your summary. So Cook had to take evasive action…….so what?…..that’s speedway and happens all the time. ……but for him to retaliate by making a move which gave no time for evasive action to be taken is just out and out dangerous. At the time, unlike folks around me, I was putting it down to a racing incident till I read Cook’s disgusting twitter remarks. Basso fined for pushing? Cook let off for deliberately taking someone out?…….what a nonsense. -

Got to laugh at some of the “fickle fans” of speedway and the ultimate defence of a rider who wasn’t theirs last year……….. Picture the same move by Cookie, on say Josh Pickering last year. I wonder what the reaction would have been?………It’s comical the way we mostly always defend our “current” team members. Having said that, we’ve all seen Craig make that move on the inside line on bends one and two many a time without incident but even if he had still been a Tiger, he would have deserved to be excluded after last night’s contact. Get over it Monarchs’ fans and get over it Craig (still one of my favourites) -
