Glasgow Vs Redcar 2nd leg KOC QF 30th May

Who would you have chosen as an “out and out” number one over Chris Harris? As far as I can see, there’s no one in the CL who would be unbeatable at Ashfield and wouldn’t be vulnerable at some point to visiting riders. It’s the nature of our track. -

Yup…..who needs three competitions? League with 2 home 2 away plus the KO cup would be my answer. -

“Friday night is Speedway night” used to be the saying……..and it was consistently Friday night weekly for most of the season. I think that is where much of the problem lies in attracting higher crowd levels. All this chopping and changing and having large gaps throughout the calendar does the sport no favours and folk can’t get into a routine. I realise the financial implications of the present day for some who may not be able to afford weekly meetings but I think more consistency would help the situation. -

Torment and boredom are two different things entirely….. -

It’s obvious this situation has caused you extreme personal torment to still be going on about it. I doubt very much though, that anyone else is as greatly concerned and I also doubt that it will have any noticeable bearing on Glasgow attendances. Time to move away from this as it’s now becoming very boring. -

Have you ever heard the quote…….”If you don’t like the Scottish weather, just hang on for 20 minutes”? There’s a reason for this saying. You just don’t understand the weather systems in Scotland. Bearing in mind the Berwick issues, this is the correct decision despite what you may think. -

Glasgow v Edinburgh , Easter Sunday

You sound anything but neutral in your summary. So Cook had to take evasive action…….so what?…..that’s speedway and happens all the time. ……but for him to retaliate by making a move which gave no time for evasive action to be taken is just out and out dangerous. At the time, unlike folks around me, I was putting it down to a racing incident till I read Cook’s disgusting twitter remarks. Basso fined for pushing? Cook let off for deliberately taking someone out?…….what a nonsense. -

Fail to see the relevance………doesn’t warrant the resultant outcome. -

Got to laugh at some of the “fickle fans” of speedway and the ultimate defence of a rider who wasn’t theirs last year……….. Picture the same move by Cookie, on say Josh Pickering last year. I wonder what the reaction would have been?………It’s comical the way we mostly always defend our “current” team members. Having said that, we’ve all seen Craig make that move on the inside line on bends one and two many a time without incident but even if he had still been a Tiger, he would have deserved to be excluded after last night’s contact. Get over it Monarchs’ fans and get over it Craig (still one of my favourites) -

Hi Jitendra, I signed up to purchase the Peter Craven Memorial stream and was asked to upgrade my account and change my password. Just checking to see if this was a genuine request as it asked for my address including State and Zip code? Just being doubly careful in this day and age of hacking etc.

Please don’t ever consider visiting Glasgow………lol

Soooo looking forward to this season. Don’t think we’ll be short of excitement. Silverware would be a bonus but not the be-all and end-all.
-
Yeah, it will be interesting. My only hope, being a Glasgow supporter, is that the expected increase in averages of our numbers 2 and 4 will make the difference. Need to just wait and see.
-
Took a bit of getting used to for his style maybe…..and a pity he didn’t get dialled in until it was too late. ……….and you’ve answered your own question. “Some are more difficult than others” …….and going by most riders’ opinions, Glasgow isn’t one of them.
-
In my mind, there’s a difference between home advantage and home TRACK advantage. I see home track advantage as being a circuit that visiting riders find difficult to master and therefore to pass on. Our high scoring record at home, I reckon, was due to having a team who were capable, on most occasions, of riding our very fair track better than the visitors. Obviously this is partly due to them riding the track more regularly.

That would save on the dummies at least……lol

I honestly think you know nothing about the financial business at Glasgow…….just jumping on the old rumour bandwagon.
