  1. Yes definitely but that is one aspect f this sport that needs to seriously change as it continually annoys the core supporters, and having other websites providing information and results etc doesn’t absolve the clubs from doing it themselves. If the sport wants to improve its image it seriously needs to improve its information and integrity. Belle Vue would have known Kurtz wasn’t riding at Sheffield at the latest after they rode the first leg midday and probably much earlier, it’s deceiving the supporters and it’s about time this practice was ended. I did the PR and website news for a few years and posting results, basic news and scores takes minutes, finding out Kurtz wasn’t riding when they arrived at Sheffield is an absolute disgrace for supporters who have taken the time to travel and support their team.
  2. It has to be said the PR from a lot of clubs in all divisions is absolutely crap, I read on here early doors that Kurtz wasn’t riding at Sheffield and checked with the Belle Vue website which didn’t have anything about Kurtz or the preview for the match at Sheffield, this is complete nonsense and yet again fans are being kept completely in the dark deliberately by the clubs. Belle Vue despite a decent race track has one of the worst reputations for PR, with the match result from last night still not being displayed, scorers and results with a report to follow is the least that can be expected but clearly the people running BV don’t think the same.
  3. Indeed and he got Allen saying the same, it’s a shame no one has corrected him.
  4. If Lynn takes a facility for Iversens being ill it means Niels is out for 7 days, this way with Lambert in on No Facilty Niels is free to ride in both matches next week.
  5. Exactly and that’s the one thing missing from a tv meeting again - racing. Track is shocking and looks like a ploughed field in places. It does nothing to encourage people to go and watch this crap and looking at the sparse crowd it’s working.
  6. But as has been said Ipswich have chosen to go with an outstanding top two and although injuries are unfortunate they are part and parcel of the sport, and being a bit suspect at the bottom end the Witches were caught out this time with the early injury to Ellis being the catalyst for a night to remember. Leicester are the current form team and it showed, I still think this title is anyone’s, any one of the top 4 can win it and it’s going to be the one who does better on the road methinks.
  7. 2021 just fell right for Peterborough and having a high scoring reserve played to our all round strength, Rob Lyon played a full part in the team’s success which wasn’t really expected from anyone, Ulrich riding superbly at the start whilst a reserve and then getting hurt whilst No 1 didn’t go against us either. Sometimes things just fall into place and 2021 was one such occasion and very enjoyable it was.
  8. I rather suspect Poland don’t give them the choice, they ride or they start paying back sone of their start money is what I have heard, a bit more flexibility in the UK where we don’t force riders to ride when they are clearly unfit to do so.
  9. Probably one of the most liked and respected officials in the sport and he will be sadly missed by everyone. Well liked by everyone including riders, officials, promoters and supporters.
  10. Absolutely on the nail. Supporters at least want a competitive side, watching your team getting stuffed each week does nothing for anybody.
  11. It’s also worth mentioning that in this weeks star dated August 3rd, Peter Oakes said he was contacted by Neil Vatcher after the article and apologised to the SCB Manager after accepting that the SCB had in fact provided facility’s to Workington for the missing riders and it was Workington who were unable to find riders to accept the bookings at short notice.
  12. That’s assuming it’s Schroeck making the decisions, he seems about as adept as Ermolenko in the role.
  13. Track surface was a complete joke, meeting itself apart from the odd race was just gate and go and quite why it wasn’t watered properly is beyond me. Closeness of the meeting was the only thing that kept the interest but Sheffield got the killer blow in heat 12 and it just left the Brummies with an impossible job. They should never have got rid of Zach Cook that’s very clear, Ermolenko clearly hasn’t got a clue and Tolley just looks ridiculous.
  14. Watering now it appears, trouble is they have lost the track now, needed doing after heat 4
  15. The rules are controlled by the SCB now (rightly so) so once they are in the rule book that’s what everyone is tied to, Neil Vatcher rules on anything now and does it fairly I am told.
  16. Sedgmen assumes the average of the rider he is replacing (Musielak) so as Klindt is third in the Lynn averages the answer should be no.
  17. Exactly Although Lynn have received a boost today as MPT has signed for Birmingham, that great signing for the Brummies should ensure Lynn don’t finish bottom.
  18. I can assure you Swaffham is as much an interest of Peterborough fans as Kings Lynn is, which isn’t a lot. The only time I have visited Kings Lynn speedway is when the Panthers were the visitors, that goes for Leicester as well, both dire tracks for speedway racing.
