Well to be fair the information and evidence was in the public domain, the sensible choice was surely BSN. As for the new trend to call it off early based on forecasts, I applaud clubs for this, it surely saves a lot of time and expense all round.

In the past they actually had some shale on the track most of the time and the bikes pre lay down were a lot easier to control.

Ipswich v Birmingham KOC 2nd Leg 06/06

Not altogether surprising, the only real surprise to me is they dropped Zach in the first place, he was one of their better signings this year. -
Kings Lynn v Sheffield 6/6

Lawson for Musielak, Lambert S for Palm Toft and Pickering riding according to the Lynn preview, if Pickering is up to speed this should be a walk in the park for the tigers -
Birmingham v Ipswich KOC June 3rd

Injuries have clobbered you this year but your team set up with two massive big hitters is the way your promotion has gone whilst others have a more balanced side. It pretty much worked well in 2023 but plans have badly come unstuck in 2024 after a bright start and that unfortunately is speedway, you always need a fair slice of luck in this game and at the moment you haven’t got it. -
Czech GP Prague
bigcatdiary replied to Fullmax's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Rubbish Grand Prix but the usual fare at Prague unfortunately. Lovely city but the speedway leaves a lot to be desired. It does however show that when it needs to, the meeting can be done quickly especially with a poor weather forecast. -

I think everybody knows the answer to that question -
Leicester v Oxford 27th May
bigcatdiary replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It badly needed a proper racetrack, it’s clear it was prepared for the Lions team of trappers, Kemp was the obvious winner, two fantastic gates and won them both easily, missed the gate in his other two and never looked like passing anyone. At the end of the day Speedway is about racing, not about trapping and first corners, I watched Sayfutdinov in one heat from last night’s match when the Brummies pairing beat him into the first bend, 4 laps of proper racing, it had more passing in one heat than I saw all night at Leicester. Until promoters and track men get to grips with preparing a track that produces more lines than the one around the white line this sport will stay in decline. The last two Grand Prixs shows it can be done, Warsaw and Landshut were exceptional meetings. I have attended several meetings at Leicester over the years and have yet to see a decent race meeting, it’s a tidy stadium and the facilities are good but the most important bit is the racing and unfortunately last night’s meeting does nothing to tempt me to attend a live match there again, -

I think Ipswich losing Doyle in heat 1 was the defining moment in this match -
King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May

To be brutally honest Lynn are and have been very successful at Championship level, their crowds support it so I can only assume it’s TV money that keeps them in the Premiership, but running in the top league on a Championship budget is clearly affecting support, supporters want to see a competitive team at least, watching them struggle to even win at home every season isn’t helping anyone. -
King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May

To be honest it’s been mentioned several times, programme buyers hate it, why they don’t just save it and just have a race day update for when the team returns is beyond me, especially when we have the fact of the same 6 teams 2 or 3 times a season. -

I think the weather will win this one, the BBC forecast for Wednesday is horrendous and it’s not that much better for Thursday. -

But has the damage been done, just been showing the rain yesterday at the Man U v Arsenal game it was absolutely torrential. -
Tolley would, he would be saving a fortune

That was a nice change to the usual GP fare, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard Olsen had prepared the track but it rode well and provided some good racing and on a few occasions some great races. I am not Jason Doyle’s biggest fan but he deserved to win tonight, fireworks were excellent as well. Good coverage from Discovery Plus after the let down of Eurosport. Last word for Tai Woffinden, time to retire mate, you really don’t look that fast or interested.

Really, it will be interesting to see if the SCB name the banned substance.
