  1. Options to replace rising stars this year are very limited as Leicester and Kings Lynn are finding especially when young upcoming prospects like Harrison,Scott feel that they are not ready. Looking at the list Sam Hagon is probably the best option currently available
  2. From what I heard at Leicester tonight sounds like Dans wrist is not healing very well at present and still in pain . I believe he is going to get it checked again next week then may have to look at Operation to sort it out . Ipswich may have to make a change if going be another 6-7 weeks and need to act quick as having a feeling BV will be chasing the same riders
  3. More likely he will be at Leicester if Gilkes is confirmed as ruled out for season as Will has admitted he has overcome some of his negative thoughts about the Leicester track if BV decide not to use him
  4. The reasons the advertising signs were down today was due to the wind the track staff stood them up at least twice that I saw even moving bricks to help but they kept blowing down . You have to remember for safety they have to be lightweight aluminium frames with canvas
  5. It’s more due to it being a tv meeting that this has been called off early as probably around £10,000 has been saved than if they had waited until the morning as OB trucks were due to arrive this evening then overnight security plus if cancel on day have to pay 25 freelance staff plus Abi daily fee so will always be the same for tv meetings as contractually they still have to return
  6. We shall have to wait and see I do know that Phil Morris has large input to wildcard’s and that Discovery will be keen to have a British rider in the series . Dan was also due to start riding in Poland having signed for a club a couple of weeks ago can’t remember which club so this injury has come at an awful time for him
  7. Depends what happens in other SGP2 qualifiers if Two British riders qualify then unlikely that Dan would be given a wild card however can’t see that happening so more than likely Dan will be in
  8. Although Birmingham knew when they signed MJJ that his initial contract was only until the end of May all indications from the rider to the club were that he was enjoying riding in UK even as much as bringing new engines over two weeks ago to suit British racing
  9. I am 99% sure that Picko’s engines are Ashtec Rockets and Mr Howarth just does the services on them like he does for many riders so they don’t have to keep sending them to Poland
  10. So WBD have appointed a new Events and ticketing company for Speedway GP so going forward into 2026 all tickets will be available only through their website which will make it easier to buy tickets for overseas GPs as can pay in £ or currency of your home country. They also have plans to offer a season ticket which is a ticket to every GP all in price https://media.wbdsports.com/post/events-com-named-global-partner-of-warner-bros-discovery-sports-

  12. Based upon tonight the reserves should be Anders Rowe and Dan Thompson even just to give them the experience of being in the GP build up both I thought rode very well
  13. The tanks and pond were empty and was just pulling up sludge and large stones from the bottom. It would have taken around 2-3 hours to fill the bowser with tap water but arrangements being made to fill the tanks overnight ready for track preparation for Thursday and may even get some rain on Monday
  14. I think Joe or Nathan Ablitt are the best options available but have a feeling that Bomber will convince Kings Lynn to give Ashton more time . i think probably would do Ashton good to ride NDL instead of Premiership to get some confidence back
  15. Dan Thompson showed some quality to win this meeting he won races from the gate and passed people to win races as well. I would say on current form if he does not make it through the SGP2 Qualifiers I would say got have a good chance of wildcard place . I have heard that Dan has also signed for an extraliga team when team changes are permitted
  16. TNT are continuing to use Saint Media and have appointed a new OB provider for British Speedway coverage using a smaller truck but rather disappointingly press release confirms no UHD coverage we shall have to wait and see if they have cut down the amount of cameras I am slightly concerned depending on which truck they use for Speedway that they may only have 2VT positions so may not get as many replays and Slo Mo coverage https://overexposed.tv/enhancing-speedway-coverage-over-exposed-partners-with-saint-media-ltd

  18. Yes I believe the meeting is being streamed as I saw comments about friends and family in Australia watching the meeting online
  19. Not sure about this year but previous seasons their has been a contribution from BSPL to the production costs for the season as the sport needs tv coverage to attract sponsorship for clubs and riders . Where this money came from not 100% sure got told by one person it was out of the Rowe deal along with club contribution
  20. Also helped that a couple of senior Sky sports executives in late 90s tlll early 2000s used to go Speedway on a regular basis. Once they moved on it meant Speedway did not have the internal support that it used to have
  21. I have reached out to a few contacts at TNT and WBD about the situation. At present the UK league racing is very much up in the air with options being considered. Do they use league Speedway as a cheap rights acquisition that’s UK based in the summer to help fill TNT schedule this will require an enhancement to production standards and costs on producing each meeting e.g More Cameras, better lighting, UHD coverage, new graphics etc The other option is to remain as it is and look to cut some production costs bit further but then this will only be broadcast online via Discovery + which may upset fans and sponsors. It should all be decided in next few weeks once a few more things away from Speedway are sorted
  22. It will be interesting to see now that British league racing is moving to TNT whether production standards and budgets are done to TNT standards it would be good to have more cameras and possibly UHD coverage This move with Eurosport has been on the cards for two years and I did previously post this would be happening I would wait and see what offers come out as I understand there may be some offers for Sky Sports customers in the near future
  23. I have a feeling that the stadium owners may have helped WBD make the decision to cancel Cardiff with possible compensation. Looking at the dates of when the GP was scheduled to be hotel prices seem to be sky high even more than when the GP was on. Nearly all Speedway fans will have cancelled their rooms by now so I believe that you will now see a large scale concert take place at the stadium that weekend we all know the hotels get tipped off before public release of events
  24. My apologies I forget about the German and Danish ones what I meant to say was that WBD are not event promotors . They do however still have some very good ideas and plans on how to move the series forward with further progress made on possibly having a London GP if all the logistics and arena availability was to fall into place for another year
  25. It has to be remembered that WBD and BSI previously are not event promotors they are the series rights holders . For example Warsaw is staged by PZM and then staging tracks are the promotors for other rounds with Belle Vue being a joint venture between BV Speedway and British Speedway promotors association. Do I think that Cardiff would run in 2025 of still under BSI no I don’t think it would as crowds would still be the same levels
