I don’t mind fans of other teams commenting on other matches but leave your own teams out of it, no club is bigger than the sport itself and that includes Poole, I am sure if my own team had not closed and had been in the Elite League, we might have been up there challenging but we were not, it’s dead and history, just move on, for most of you, your teams will have another crack at it next season, mine won’t, we might be lucky if we see the Hammers riding in some meaningless NL select event.

Working last night so had the luxury of being able to fast forward through all the chatter and BS, not a good meeting for the Witches, reminded me of Lakeside whenever the TV was there, all of a sudden the outside run would disappear and bang, home advantage taken a hit. Swindon are the better team though, regardless of the league table, they are imo the strongest team in the league by far, excellence balance of squad. I wont bother watching the second leg, its all over as meaningful contest now, Swindon will enjoy it and rightfully so but it wont be one for the neutrals.

Playoff Semi Final 2nd Leg. Ipswich v Poole 28/9/19

I am surprised that Poole fans want to throw Jack and Brady under the bus, they were poor last night but averages don't lie, they have had decent seasons, Klindt has been a form rider this season but both averaged more than Nic. We would happily have Jack and Brady at Lakeside except we haven't got a track, actually we don't have a club either, and going by the silence, probably never will again. -

It looked quite dark on the terraces so hard to see how many was there, I wasn't looking anyway, but nonetheless surely there must have been at least 1000 Poole fans there? I mean we are told frequently how big the club is when it comes to support, and you rarely see the main stand empty on a sky night, even for a fairly meaningless fixture or do the large majority of their fans not recognise speedway away from Wimbourne Road? -

They prepare tracks slick because if it rains the idea is the rain runs off the track, however you cant race like that because it will be like ice, so you would have to wait for the rain to stop and then put dry dirt down or sawdust, if you have dirt down that gets wet, then you can scrape it off. -

I think Poole will edge it tonight, both the meeting and therefore of course the tie, rain is expected later so I hope both clubs approach the ref and BT Sport before hand and make it absolutely clear they need to get on with the meeting, get ten heats done then you can slow it down for Ad breaks etc -

Not that it made any difference but if rain was looming why wait until 15 minutes in before having heat 1? always the same. -

If the track is wavy again with a deep line out wide it will be a close encounter as Witches have the like of Bomber, NKI and King who are not afraid to ride one foot from the fence, I feel they rode very much within themselves in the recent league match there where as Poole, Especially Josh, really was going for it. On paper for me this is one of the most exciting play off series for a long time, (if your a neutral) all four teams are very capable and therefore I hope each semi is very nip and tuck, all too often in the past we have had semi finals that have been so one sided and all but over after the first leg and you just want to skip to the final itself. The Swedish finals was so boring because Smederna walked it, fingers crossed we see two epic semis and a final in our own league, Don't care which team wins, I want Speedway and the fans to be the winner.
