Having seen some recent footage of the site, (Arena Essex) hardly anything has changed and certainly nothing has changed that would have prevented speedway for continuing, it’s makes me feel even sadder that the site is just sitting there doing nothing, when it could have been used for one more season and kept the whole exposure of the club going.

Another example of a promoter being stuck in the bubble and any fans view is instantly played down as rubbish no matter what, what would we know? We are just fans.

Trouble is Rosco is in the speedway bubble and what do people in the bubble do when they are not sure what to do? they go back to what they know worked in the past even if it means 10-15 years in the past.

Eastbourne have a huge Arena Essex look about them, if Hammers had still be riding and Eagles had still been in the NL this could have easily been a Hammers team in 2019 and they would have been equally good at home and terrible away, a Leopard never changes it’s spots. Ben should have progressed beyond riding NL ages ago, it’s only held him back, most meetings on the island are very low key challenge meetings with only low to mid NL opposition, not going to be of any benefit to Ben.

I can’t fathom from afar what has happened to Nick and Jacob, only last season they started as number ones for their respective clubs. Nick I saw from his time at Lakeside and although he wasn’t as strong as I thought he would be was still miles better than his form suggests in 2019.
